Very Nice!!

Pictures do not do this house justice! It was much more spacious than expected. Very clean and well organized. Our family enjoyed the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. It was nice to be able to unload our food and such from inside the garage right into the kitchen. Overall, a very good experience! Thank you Abby and Jeff for the good communication also.

Family Christmas

The property is spacious with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for 8 adults and 4 children. The kids have plenty of space to run. With having the kitchen table and dining room table, we had plenty of places to sit for meals and also play games. We enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table. Love that they put up a Christmas tree for us to put our presents under.

Family Hood weekend

Abby & Jeff were very nice to work with. The house was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the pool table and darts in the basement. The backyard deck with table and chairs was nice to have. The fenced in yard was great to have for my daughter’s dog when she came to visit us. Only downfall was the central air conditioning wasn’t working on our 2nd evening so it made for an uncomfortable evening. That was not something that Jeff & Abby could control, but they did have extra fans available and asked if there was anything they could do for us. We would definitely stay there again!

Great Location & Fantastic Space

This property is in a great location. It is well-maintained and perfect for a group of friends or extended family. We especially enjoyed spending time downstairs around the pool table and bar area. Plus, the upstairs kitchen and living area were open so we could enjoy conversation while cooking and watching TV. The hosts were very responsive to questions and issues. We would definitely stay here again.

Softball

We stayed while our duaghter/granddaughter played in a softball tourney. Very at home feel and space for everyone to have private stay. Renters were more than helpful with questions and check-in. The neighborhood is quiet and it was perfect access for us to Waukee, Grimes, and Des Moines. Plenty of food and convenience stores nearby. Felt right at home.

Great place

Awesome house that’s well taken care of and accommodating. Wouldn’t hurt to spray for insects and put some ant traps down by the patio door. We noticed a couple of ants the first morning but with making sure everything stayed clean, we didn’t see any on our following nights.

Wonderful!

This house was perfect for our family gathering. We found it well-stocked with kitchenware, games, activities and gathering spaces. The bedrooms were comfortable and nicely accommodated our group of eleven. The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood that’s convenient and easily accessible. Hosts Abby and Jeff provided us with everything we needed to know about the property so check-in and getting settled were very easy. We certainly hope to return.

Wonderful stay and perfect house!

My family and I had a wonderful stay! The house completely met our needs, including a perfect place for our mini doodle to be able to join us. Abby and Jeff were extremely responsive and the perfect hosts. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful stay for my family. We were able to all be together. Ate our meals together. Didn’t have to stay in a smelly, crowed hotel. Plenty of space for all to spread out. Wonderful house. Well stocked with necessities. Couldn’t have been better. Will do again when we all gather in Ankeny

Family time

We had extended family come to town from several different states for our granddaughter’s 1st birthday. This house was perfect to accommodate all of us from a newborn to 80 year old Great-grandmother. The house has a great open concept which allowed us plenty of room to all be together during the day and yet provided good privacy with bedrooms separated between levels at night. We will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend this home to anyone visiting Ankeny, Iowa.

Weekend stay with fiends

3 of my veteran deployment buddies and I get together each February to go ice fishing, but the weather just wasn't cooperating this year. We opted instead to stay at this property for the weekend, and enjoyed it immensely. We didn't do much besides BBQ, play cards, and shoot pool & darts downstairs (which was a huge bonus about the house!), just enjoying some reunion time together. The hosts were very accommodating and easy to work with, even allowing one of us to bring his service dog. The house was very clean and would 100% stay again.

Would stay again!

Jeff and Abby are fantastic hosts. Very easy to communicate with. It's been 4 years since our whole family has been able to be together. The home had everything we needed and so many good spaces for conversation, eating and entertainment. Would definitely use this home again and recommend it for anyone looking for something in the Ankeny area.

Great Christmas vacation with family !

We scheduled a last minute trip to see family over Christmas in Ankeny. There was only 1 VRBO available in town to accommodate our crew. Place was great, perfect for our time with family.

A beautiful house!!

If I could give this property 100 stars I would!! It is amazing!! We were in town for my daughter's wedding reception and this house filled every need!! We even had a sendoff brunch for family and friends and the space fit us all!! You will want for nothing in this house. Completely stocked right down to the comfy throw blankets in the living room. We felt like we were home. Great communication with our hosts!! We loved it and we're so grateful to have a house that felt like home!!

Christmas Celebration

This house was well located for my family coming in from Nebraska, Missouri, and northern Iowa. It was spacious, very clean and with great amenities. We were able to have a great Christmas celebration without being on top of each other. Also bonus surprise was the Christmas tree!

Great family gathering

Very clean property just as listed. 13 of us from 1 to 74 had a great family time together. Highlights included a pool tournament organized by 9 yr old grandson. Grandpa won.

Family Get Together

We stayed for a weekend at this property and it was wonderful. Lots of room for everyone to roam and enough beds for all of us. It was clean and spotless and would highly recommend this property to anyone. Loved seeing the Christmas lights in the neighborhood that was up. It was a good experience for all of us.

Lovely Home, Something for Everyone

Selected this home for location and that it sleeps so many. In the area for a family wedding. Groom’s grandparents were very comfortable in the master suite and kiddos (and adults) had much to occupy themselves in the lower level. Nice flow between the kitchen (the ultimate gathering place) and upper level living area, but very comfortable in both living spaces. Although too chilly to spend much time outside, the deck and backyard were also very nice. A plus, we were allowed to pull the grandparent’s vehicle in the garage for warmer unloading and loading. Kitchen was perfect for the few meals prepared and shared during our stay. Another wedding in the area, if any, we would love to come back.

Bartlett Funeral

This was my first experience with VRBO. We were there for my parents funeral. I knew that it would be a difficult time and I wanted the family to be together and not in separate hotel rooms. Abby and Jeff's property was everything they said it was and the house felt like home. 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 living areas, pool table, nice outdoor deck with gas grill gave us room to be together or just a little time alone if needed. The neighborhood was clean, well maintained and safe. When I am sad, one of my escapes is to bake. I was delighted to see the kitchen was fully stocked with sheet pans, mixer, small appliances, dishes, silverware, utensils, etc. which we fully took advantage of by making cookies at 10:30 PM after returning from a day of funeral activities and inviting a close friend over for steak and Iowa sweet corn for dinner the following night. Staying there was much more enjoyable that being separated in hotel rooms and eating out every meal!!! Thank you Abby and Jeff for making our temporary stay so comfortable.
