We were genuinely surprised and disappointed to read this review, as several of the concerns described do not reflect the condition of the home at check-in or the experience consistently reported by our other guests. Our listing clearly discloses that the home is cooled by window A/C units rather than central air, and our listing photos accurately show that the bathrooms have showers rather than bathtubs. We always encourage guests to review the listing details and photos prior to booking to ensure the home fits their individual needs. During this stay, the internet temporarily disconnected twice. Both times I responded promptly and provided simple reset instructions that restored service within just a couple of minutes. We have had no further internet complaints since this stay. Regarding the dishwasher mentioned in the review, the home’s dishwasher had just been replaced prior to this guest’s arrival. The old appliance had already been moved to the roadside for scheduled pickup because removal day was the following Tuesday. It was not located near the entrance, blocking access, or interfering with the guest’s use of the property. I do want to acknowledge the coffee maker. Based on the photo provided, used grounds were inadvertently left behind by our cleaner. That absolutely should have been caught, and I apologize for that oversight. I have addressed it with our cleaning team so it does not happen again. The mark shown on the pillow was not blood. It was a pre-existing defect/discoloration on the pillow itself from when it was purchased. Nevertheless, because I never want a guest to question the cleanliness of our bedding, that pillow will be removed and replaced. Had concerns regarding the shower, floors, A/C units, bedding, or any other cleanliness issue been brought to our attention during the stay, we would have immediately inspected and addressed them. Unfortunately, aside from the temporary internet issue, these concerns were not communicated to us while the guest was staying in the home, so we were never given the opportunity to respond to them in real time. We take tremendous pride in our home, our cleanliness standards, and the experience we provide our guests. Our history of 5-star reviews reflects that commitment. While no property will be the perfect fit for every guest, we stand behind the accuracy of our listing, the condition in which the home was provided, and the responsiveness we gave throughout this stay.

It means a lot to know your granddaughter had fun with the toys and that you were able to enjoy meals together around the dining table while visiting your hometown. We did just want to mention, for the benefit of future guests, that our home is listed as having 2½ bathrooms, with two full bathrooms and two working showers upstairs, along with a half bath downstairs. The downstairs shower is not operational, and we include that information in both our listing and the check-in instructions so guests know exactly what to expect before they arrive.
