This was our second stay at Overlook on Dun's Cove! What an amazing home, view, absolute serenity, relax, privacy. Nestled in complete nature. You will not have one regret after your stay in this beautiful home and property! The owner Doris is superb with communicating and making sure everything is taken care of during your stay! This was our second year staying in this beautiful house located along Dun’s Cove. We spent many enjoyable hours crabbing along the long pier or just sitting watching the sunrise as we began our day. Both times we were there late in September-a perfect way to welcome the beginning of fall. If you enjoy crabbing this is a good time to do it. We put out a dozen small traps and would catch a couple dozen legal size crabs each day. At night my brother, wife and I would spend a relaxing time playing games. My wife loves kayaking and there is a nice kayak ramp in St. Michael’s on Chew Avenue. We also enjoyed leisurely walks in St. Michael’s usually topped off with an ice cream at one of the two ice cream shops there. We hope we will be able to return around the same time next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The house was clean and very well appointed. We appreciated that there were crab traps available for use, all the appliances worked and their manuals were on the counter, and kitchen pans and utensils were upscale. The owner was very quick to respond the couple of times we contacted her. We recommend staying here with no hesitation.

Our Host Doris was excellent to work with. Everything went smoothly from check-in to checkout. The property is located in a beautiful cove; the water views are exceptional. The property is well maintained. It is a very peaceful setting. There are excellent restaurants nearby. If you rent this property, you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful home on a perfect private forested property with stunning water views.We had an amazing long weekend on Dun's Cove, kayaking, swimming off the dock and watching incredible sunsets ! The house is stunning as well and the owners attention to fine details, with everything from the kitchen cookware to the bed linens were so unexpected in a rental , but really special and much appreciated ! The spacious deck was also amazing and was ideal for eating outside or just taking in the view. We are seriously considering another trip to this home next year !

One long mirror (we were there for a wedding). A clock in the bed rooms. Only improvements everything was perfect thank you.

Hello Dee Fox; Thank you for your 10/10 review and thoughtful suggestions. Incidentally, I am replacing a reliable, compact alarm clock that we had for years in the master bedroom... it disappeared recently. Also , if I know that any future guests are staying for a wedding or Black Tie event, I will add a long, standing mirror for their use. (The mirrored wall in the upstairs bathroom is probably adequate for most other situations.) Please know I am flattered you selected "Overlook on Dun's Cove" to prepare for a wedding. This home was everything we wanted it to be and more. From the easy communication with the property owner to the gorgeous sunrise on our first morning, my husband and I fell in love with the area. The kitchen has great amenities and is well stocked with everything you will need to enjoy your stay. The locals are very friendly and you get the shops of St. Michael’s and the down-home feel of Tilghman’s Island. Book it - you will not be disappointed!

Relaxing bay stay

Nice and well maintained vacation home, loved fishing off the pier every day. Quiet spot helped recharge body and soul , would visit again

Our host was easy to work with and very prompt in answering any questions or concerns that I had. The house was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, utensils, linens, herbs and spices. The beds were comfortable; extra blankets and pillows were available. The view of the water was very peaceful, and relaxing. The deck was a perfect spot for reading, and knitting. The house is in a quiet, private setting, a short drive to St. Michaels where we visited the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and we did some retail therapy in town. We also enjoyed the art museum in Easton. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a quiet get-away. Many thanks to our host for making our vacation so special.

Great house in a great location

The house is beautiful and the view cannot be beat. Was great to be so close to the town of St. Michaels and all that is has to offer. Would definitely consider staying here again!
