This property is awesome.This house is gorgeous inside and out. Plenty of space for our family. Beautiful view, short walk to the ocean. Quiet neighborhood. Plenty of beach chairs to use. Our family really enjoyed it.

We love The Shanty. This was our 2nd stay here and we are already planning our next visit. The house is beautiful and the view is worth everything. I suggest waking up at 6am to see the sunrise. God is good

Opening the door for the first time and seeing the kitchen and living room with the beautiful view was jaw dropping. The family really loved the place and the position on the inlet was perfect for a low tide walk to the ocean. Found plenty of Hermit Crabs along the shore line. Loved it!!

Inlet Perfection

This is our 2nd stay at The Shanty and our favorite place to stay in Cherry Grove Beach. The house is perfectly decorated, clean, well stocked and Lydia makes you feel at home! We can’t wait to plan another stay.

This was not just a beach house, this was a beautiful peaceful beach “home”. The feeling was overwhelming on how tranquil and perfect it was. The views will take you breath away in watching how the inlet transforms between the high and low tides, plus hearing the ocean waves in the distance. Extremely clean but beyond that… a place for the soul to be still and rest in HIM. Lydia thank you for sharing your home. God Bless, Constance

Great location, great vacation home!! We had six adults ranging in ages 30-61 and two children ages 6 and 4. Lydia was easy to reach and responded immediately to all of our questions.

Wonderful stay!!

We loved the beach and the house had everything we needed. The only thing that could have been tweaked was having a more accessible dock for kayaks/paddle boards.

I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Concerning our pier, we used to have a floating dock attached. However, since it rested on the sand for part of the day, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control required that we have it removed. We then had a ladder added making access to the beach even more accessible for our guests.

Location is Everything!

This property couldn’t have a better location! Cherry Grove is a treasure and The Shanty allows us to easily enjoy every part of it. This was our third year staying here-that says it all!

A perfect vacation

This was our third or fourth time staying at The Shanty and it never disappoints. The property is clean and conveniently located. I could not recommend this property enough. No complaints at all.

We enjoyed our stay very much at the Shanty! Everything was as described and even better. The access to the waterway was great and the morning sunsets were absolutely gorgeous! Best place to stay in Cherry Grove.

Wonderful property with the best sunrise views! Fishing and swimming off of the sandbar in front of the house was the highlight for my family. I highly recommend this property!!!

Incredible views

We had a great time at The Shanty. The home was immaculate and so beautifully decorated. The views of the marsh AND the ocean were incredible. We’d love to return and spend more time there.
