Echo Lake Relaxation

We stayed at Colin's VRBO in Echo Lake and had a lovely time. The location is perfect, very easy to get out to the surrounding areas. The whole apartment was very comfortable and well fitted. We would absolutely stay at Colin's place again!

Stay Here

Rental was very clean, modern and comfortable. It is in a very pretty and quiet suburban setting. Close to public transportation. Collin was a helpful and responsive host. We would stay here again.

This property was perfect for what we needed. It was close to the grandkids we were visiting as well as walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and other businesses. The host is responsive and accommodating. Yes, you can hear the people living upstairs but this did not bother us at all. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful property, all brand new, very clean, well stock, the only issue was some noise from the renters upstairs.

Location, neighborhood was good and convenient as I was familiar with the area. Unit was clean and updated, great kitchen, comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Just missing the "peaceful", up stair tenants noisy, sounded like they were bowling or practicing for marching band, whatever it was it came with obscenities and the noise was like they were in the next room. sound proofing would have been an invaluable addition to the remodel.

The property was very clean and the owner responded promptly to all communication. The location was great and was a short distance from beaches, parks, restaurants, and the light rail station. The kitchen and bedrooms were nicely furnished and all appliances were easy to use.Note that this unit is a refurbished basement. I think when this unit was refurbished, they didn't put any insulation or sound dampening between the floors as you can hear everything that happens upstairs, talking, tv, walking, appliance usage, etc. This can be troublesome if you're flying from a different timezone and want to go to sleep early and before the upstairs tenants stop walking around and making noise.The number of beds is also slightly inaccurate. The listing stated two twin beds in the living room. This turned out to be just sleeping on the couch, not pull out couches. The couch itself is a sectional, so if you're taller than 36", you're going to feel the edge of the sectional when you lie down. Especially because the cushions on the sectional seem to have been used for 10 years and provide little actual cushioning. Sitting and sleeping on the sectional are not comfortable and I would not recommend sleeping on it. That leaves 3 beds (a king, a queen, and a twin). The king and twin beds seemed to be firm enough to support a grown adult without sinking. The queen bed was not firm enough without sinking like a rock.

Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to leave detailed feedback. I’m glad to hear you found the unit clean, enjoyed the location, and appreciated the kitchen, bedrooms, and appliances. I’m sorry the upstairs noise affected your stay. This is a downstairs unit in a shared structure with long term tenants upstairs, so some normal household noise can occasionally transfer between floors. We do have quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM, and when you asked about quiet hours, I let you know I would be happy to contact the upstairs tenants right away if there was an issue and didn't hear back so thought it was settled. I also appreciate the feedback about the living room sleeping setup. I have updated the description to be worded clearer that the living room couches are sofas that can be slept on, not pull out sofa beds. The main sectional was purchased about one year ago and is approximately 168 inches long, about 14 feet. That said, I understand a sofa may not feel the same as a dedicated bed for every guest. Regarding the mattress feedback, the king and queen mattresses are both Nectar Premier Hybrid mattresses with medium firmness, and both were purchased about one year ago. Mattress comfort is personal, so I understand preferences vary. Thank you again for the feedback. I’m always working to improve the guest experience.
