About this space
Welcome to Pine Guest Suite! A comfortable and quiet sanctuary in a friendly residential neighborhood just three blocks from historic Fairhaven Village.

Enjoy everything Bellingham has to offer: hiking and mountain biking nearby trails, exploring beach and tide pools at Larrabee State Park, wandering Fairhaven, walking the Taylor Street Dock, and so much more.

Amtrak, Alaska Ferry, and local bus are two blocks away. Convenient to Fairhaven, WWU, downtown Bellingham, and beyond!

Pine Guest Suite is one half of a newly constructed duplex, built with energy efficiency and comfort in mind including extra insulation (including "exsulation") including between floors, high-efficiency windows, ductless mini-split heat pump, and heat recovery ventilator to ensure constant fresh air circulation.

There are three bedrooms, two with comfortable queen beds and the other with a comfortable full-size bed. One bedroom serves as a main suite with its own bathroom with walk-in shower.

Kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances and requisite prep, cooking, and serving supplies. Coffee, creamer, cooking oils, salt, pepper, and oft-used spices are supplied.

The unit backs onto a rear alley where you will find a parking area with a Level 2 electric car charger available for your use (no additional charge).

Central Fairhaven is minutes away by foot. Haggen is the nearest grocery store and is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute car ride away. Nearest bus stop is a 5 minute walk away by the corner of 4th St. and Harris Ave, which is right next to the Amtrak station.

We are located in a residential neighborhood and, as such, our space is not suitable for parties or events. We appreciate your respecting our quiet hours between 9 PM - 7 AM.

Please note that the guest suite is located on the second (upper) level of a two unit duplex building. Considerable soundproofing has been installed between both units though particularly loud and/or low-frequency sounds can transmit between the units. Please keep this in mind whenever you are enjoying music or use of the television during your stay.

The house was located on a cute street within walking distance to Fairhaven with restaurants, bakeries, groceries, coffee, shops and the water is very close to the house. There are well maintained trails all around. The house was modern, clean and adorable. It was perfect for our family of 4 visiting WWU.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to all the great Fairhaven restaurants, shops, and scenic waterfront walks. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway!

The place was clean, nicely set up, and in a good location. The only complaint is the people that live below talked really loud late into the night and we could hear it through the floor. On 2 of the nights, they talked continously until at least 11 PM, which made it hard to get to sleep.

We are very sorry to hear that noise from guests in the adjacent unit affected your stay. In future please don't hesitate to notify us (or other hosts) of any problems as they occur during your stay. We want the chance to address problems if and when they arise. On rare occasion we have had to remind guests in the adjacent guest suite of the house rules quiet hours.

Well-appointed, clean, good instructions, and everything worked perfectly. We also enjoyed the games and snacks. Coffee makers are press or pour over, which was fine with us. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great stay and it was an easy walk to the shops and restaurants of Fairhaven! Everything was as described and fit our group of 5 comfortably. It was 1hr drive up to most Mount Baker trails. The hosts got back to us quickly to answer the few questions we had. Would happily stay again if in the area.

The 3 bedroom home was perfect in every way: great location walking distance to Fairhaven Village, restaurants, coffee shops and cute stores; immaculately clean, uncluttered, neat and organized, warm and cozy and inviting but without too much personalization where you feel you are staying at someone's home amidst their personal belongings; kitchen and bathrooms were updated and in pristine condition, well-equipped without being cluttered; beds were comfortable with clean, cozy bedding; great instructions for use of heat/cooling system and TV; EQUALLY important and helpful were the owners who were responsive to questions and so kind and generous to provide such a comfortable environment for our family to spend time together!

Awesome time in Fairhaven

We came for a family wedding in Fairhaven and this was the perfect place to stay. Everything you need is available and I like how they have everything in the cupboards and closets clearly marked so you know where things are supposed to go back to. Very clean, very quiet neighborhood, perfect for walks and close to Fairhaven shops and stores and views of the bay and the ferries. We felt so relaxed after our 4 day stay here. Highly recommend.

We had a family gathering at The Pine Guest Suite over the weekend. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms were just right for us. The kitchen is open and offers room for cooking and visiting. The deck off the back was an added bonus. The house was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. Sam is a good communicator and he made sure that all our needs were met.

This is a lovely vrbo! The neighborhood is peaceful and close to all the amenities of charming Fairhaven Village. Clean, bright, comfortable and efficient interior. We stayed as a couple (our adult sons each visited one night); there is ample space for two couples or small family. Enjoyed our morning coffee and evening glass of wine with nibbles on the back deck. As EV owners we appreciated having a charger on site. Would absolutely return to the Pine Guest Suite!

Decorations for Christmas were a wonderful touch! Bedrooms & bathrooms were great. Kitchen was stocked well enough, and the host brought something we were missing. The seating in the living room could be improved, both more of it and more comfortable. In the photo I used a kitchen chair for better support. The weather was cold during our stay, so we weren't able to enjoy the cute front patio and back deck. I'm sure those would be wonderful during other times of year.

We enjoy time with family and friends and outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain biking. We enjoy hosting as it allows us to share this special place (Fairhaven, Bellingham, and surrounds) with people from all over the world.

The home is located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood that is incredibly convenient to central Fairhaven via road or wooded trail and is also near the waterfront at nearby Marine Park. We particularly enjoy the eclectic mix of charming homes in the vicinity and the many lovely neighbors we got to know while previously living in the home.
