Dear Tamar, Thank-you for your extremely complimentary review. Your reactions to my home are exactly what I feel every I enter. I just get such a sense of openess, lights, airiness, and alas, I'll even say freedom. I'm sorry you didn't swim in the pool. Next time you come remember that you can heat it up to your satisfaction. Or just keep it kind of cool and refreshing and then jump in the hot tub afterwards. And then you can go back to the pool Russian style and jump in the water again. Next time you also must go biking. One great trip I like to take is to take the ferry about ten minutes from the house and go to Shelter Island. It is beautifully scenic with miles of coastline to explore full of eagles and osprey nests. You could ride to Sag Harbor, a quaint historic town a few miles away, and choose from one of their many restaurants. Thanx for noticing and complimenting the deck which is mahogany and was just finished. I put extensive Azek railings to help my mom navigate and get to the pool safely. I'm just not sure where is the best place to have my meals. Should it be the southern exposure or the western exposure to catch the sunset? You said you also like the bathrooms. I hope you got a chance to use the jacuzzis in the two master bedrooms. When I used one the last weekend, I felt like I was in Vegas at some luxurious Honeymoon Suite on the strip. You may have noticed some of the plantings. I dropped all this seed a few days ago only to see a wild turkey feasting on my hard labor. I'll get him come Labor Day. And Thank-you for treating the property with such respect like it was your own. You and your family are the kind of people I enjoy renting my house too. Look forward to your return visit in August. Thank-You Laura for the five star rating! I am so glad that you were really happy. I love my house and I love it when my guests love it too. I really do try hard to make my guests happy and comfortable. And I also love all the windows; it makes the house feel that you’re actually in the woods, not outside of it. The houses layout is not boxy or compartment feeling. It has this open continuous flow that makes it very unique. Hope to see you for next years Hamptons Horse Classic. David

Hey Moe, Thank-you so much for your kind words. It gives me such a wonderful feeling that you and your children enjoyed the house and that you are actively contemplating being a guest again in the summer. And while you enjoyed the hamptons beauty in the winter, the hamptons was really built for all the other seasons. I will soon start all the seasonal preparations and getting this house ready for summer mode by planting flowers, raking, getting the pool and hot tub going, adding new touches like carpets and furniture. Luckily, I don't need to change its location, right smack in the middle of the forest and on a five acre blissfully quiet protected preserve.
