Welcome to Whispering Hills, your perfect Up North escape! This cozy and pet-friendly 3-bedroom, 1-bath cabin sleeps up to 6 guests and offers everything you need for a laid-back getaway just steps from private Lake Michigan beach access.
Start your mornings on the screened-in porch, end your days on the large sunny deck, and in between, enjoy everything from beach walks to grilling out under the trees. Inside, the cabin is comfortably furnished for simple, stress-free living. While there's no stove, you'll have an air fryer, microwave, and grill for easy meals.
For extra fun, the garage has been transformed into a game room, perfect for family game nights or a break from the sun.
Whether you're sipping coffee as the breeze moves through the trees, playing pool or ping ping after a day on the beach, or making memories with your pup by your side—Whispering Hills is where it all happens.

This was a beautiful home that is perfect for a couple or small family. We spent a lot of the time on the screened in porch (when not down at the beach). The path to the beach adjoins a partner rental and is shared. There is a staircase with about 80 steps to get down the bluff. The beach was wonderful and often times without anyone in sight. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

The private beach access and the screened in porch is what sold us on this vrbo. Only drawbacks were it seemed almost half the lightbulbs were burnt out in the house and it was difficult to find the property. The driveway is nearly a mile long and there is an identically named property right next to it.

Great little cabin for 4 people. As described. Property has a shared walk down to water. Water is pretty close but a good 80 steps down/up. Great beach. Lovely sunsets. Lots of beach chairs and a couple floaties in a dedicated chest on beach. No umbrella.

Furst time in MI, had a plan to explore Grand Haven to South Haven, home is about 1 hour from Grand Haven so great location.Home was a good size for 2-4 people with a relaxing screened in room. The pool/ping pong was also wonderful. An opportunity for improvement would be connecting the basement-containing the washer, dryer, pool table, ping pong, darts, etc, to the main level. The driveway is short/steep, but do able. The beach area was gorgeous. Defiently would stay again at this loccation!

The house is cute and very clean. We loved the screened in sunroom. Even without a stove/oven we had no issues. Just plan accordingly. The path and steps to the beach are not for the weak, definitely factor that in. One bathroom for 6 people was only an issue for showers after the beach. Otherwise not an issue.The fire lane back to the property was a little sketchy, we did get something in our tire and ended up with a flat, things happen. Overall a 5 star rating. Perfect quiet getaway, the beach and sunsets were something to behold!

This was pretty much the exact vacation I was looking for. The cabin was the perfect size for the 3 of us. The view of the lake was incredible from the top of the stairs. The beach was beautiful. Would definitely recommend. The pups loved it.

The house was great! Just enough room for 5 of us and we loved the screened in porch. We spent the days at the private beach and there were enough chairs and plenty of sand toys to dig and make sand creations. The stairs were longer than expected down to the beach so good for families with little ones or any physical restrictions to keep in mind. We would definitely come again!

This stay was a disappointment. On our second day, we noticed some larger ants in the cabin. Not a big deal, we are in the woods. By the fourth day they were everywhere, coming in through the ceiling. We contacted the host and they offered to send pest control out the next day, but did not have any alternative lodging to offer after I requested it. In the time it took us to go to dinner that night, we came home to 20 or so ants about the small living area, and woke up to another 20 the next day. We decided to leave at that point, two nights early, as we did not want our children (8, 5, 18 months) in that environment. The host is not willing to refund us for those two nights.In addition to the ants, the well water in this home is very high in iron. We did not drink it, but even taking showers or washing clothes you will smell it. Make sure to bring bottled water and be careful washing clothes. The washing machine left rust stains on some of our clothes and nearly all the cabin towels when we used it.Finally the WiFi was very poor. Speeds were slow at best and often times had no connection. It seemed to be related to the weather somehow, getting worse in the rain. No streaming Netflix or checking in on work on stormy days! Not a big deal if it was not listed as better quality.Lastly, the beach was pretty nice, but doesn’t make up for the other things.

Joe, we appreciate your feedback but also would like for reviews to be honest reviews of the home. You told us there were ants at 10:30 at night, after you were there a few days, about the ants. I said we would have pest control over the next morning. They showed up as you were leaving. So we did act appropriately, furthermore there were just a few minor ants. This place is in a deeply wooded area. And even though this home does not have an ant or bug problem, things like this happen in every home.

The location was perfect for us being off the beaten path. Lots of steps to/from the beach, so be prepared for that but it all worked great for us to have the private beach. Loved it!!

We had a great time. The screened in porch was great to enjoy at night. If the waves were high enough you could hear them from the porch. The property was clean and private. It was extremely helpful to have chairs already down at the beach. One less thing to carry down. I would mention it’s not a trek for someone who has trouble getting around. But should be easily doable for most people. If you want sand toys you will need to bring those and an umbrella. South Haven is a lovely town about ten to fifteen minutes or so from the property. We had a great dinner at Captain Lou’s.

This property is a hidden gem! The beach is gorgeous, just be aware the stairs to get down to there are very steep, but that was fine with us. Once you get down it is so nice! There are bins at the bottom of the stairs with chairs and some other beach supplies so we didn’t need to carry much. It was a great stop on our Michigan adventure!

Beautiful guest house. We did think the beach was directly in back of the house and it ended up being behind the main house. Not too big of a deal, just didn’t get that look out the window lake view. Very clean. The only thing that was a downer was that the hot water heater wasn’t working well. Other than that it was an excellent stay. Very quiet and peaceful.
