The place was even more stunning in person. Beautiful landscaping with the forest steps from the backyard. If we ever make it back to Arcata we will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay in Arcata. Very large house with plenty of space for a family of four. Close to Cal Poly and downtown.

We've stayed here twice and love it. You can walk out right into the Arcata Community Forest! And the place is comfortable and well equipped. After a few days I did notice that I wanted a bit more light indoors, my own house has more windows.

We loved the home, plenty of room, beautiful setting along the Redwoods, with a lovely walking trail. The location worked out well, quiet area. The kitchen was fully stocked Thank you for sharing your hime

Amazing house, great beds, very cool furniture throughout.Easy access, with amazing trails within visual distance, very well equipped kitchen, I could go on.This house is run by a pro.

The communication was great. Only drawback was the VRBO automated checkin process didn’t work, but the host was great. They were very accomodating. The house was in a quiet, nice neighborhood.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house provided plenty of room for our family of four (two teenagers) to spread out and feel comfortable. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the deck was a relaxing place to enjoy a cup of coffee. There is a path in the backyard that joins to a neighboring park with miles of trails. We enjoyed taking walks there and enjoying the quiet of the forest. Would definitely stay there again.

This property is nestled among the redwoods in a quiet neighborhood, with neighbors who are a little ways away, so that you don't feel "crowded ". The property and home are gorgeous, with a trail to the local redwood park right behind, a barbecue and huge deck to enjoy your days and evenings socializing. We even had a deer come pay a visit around sunset each day. The kitchen was large and lent itself to cooking as a family. We had the best time; our family of six adults really felt at home hereand plan to return for another reunion.

Awesome! The house was exactly as listed. Location was fantastic and the access to the Redwood trails in the backyard was amazing! The host was extremely helpful and sent us several tips on places to visit.

This home is an absolute gem in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood! It’s a fantastic mix of antique charm and modern conveniences. The location is superb — a perfect jumping off point to Eureka, Ferndale, and the Redwood National and State Parks. The Humboldt Community Forest trails are just a few steps off the backyard. My kids loved the basketball hoop! We feel so lucky this listing was available for our trip, and we would book again in a heartbeat.
