We take cleanliness and guest experience very seriously, which is why we have Pelican Bay House professionally cleaned and inspected prior to every stay. We were surprised by this guest’s concerns, as they are out of line from other guests’ experiences, and were only shared with us late in the evening before checkout after a multi-day stay. Had we been notified at check-in—or at any point earlier—we would have immediately sent our professional cleaning team over to address anything that did not meet expectations. It’s also worth noting that the photos provided appear to reflect the condition of the home after several days of occupancy, rather than at arrival. We always encourage guests to reach out right away if anything is not satisfactory so we can make it right in real time. Regarding house details: we provide a mix of durable, family-friendly dishware that is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors, and we regularly refresh kitchen items as needed. The home is also part of a natural lakeside environment, and while we take preventative measures, occasional encounters with insects can happen in that setting. Finally, our listing and pricing are based on the number of registered guests, and we ask all guests to be accurate in their booking details so we can best prepare the home for their stay. We are proud to have maintained consistent 10/10 reviews from many guests who have enjoyed clean, comfortable stays here, and we remain committed to providing a great experience for everyone who visits.

We're sorry to hear that this was your experience. We have the property professionally sprayed monthly for ticks, but unfortunately this has been an awful year for them. Hearing of your experience, we'll contact our exterminator to see if they're able to spray even more frequently.
