Pet Friendly. Close to amenities. Kitchen, living room, dining room was very open with windows viewing the outdoors. We would definitely stay again.

And just to boast a little, that your Dahlia from seed made it to the head table at the 37th annual Carolinas Dahlia Show held in Cashiers. Well done! Feel free to drop some seeds in our garden. LOL!

We loved our stay here. The house was wonderful- beautiful and comfortable. It was so peaceful sitting on the dock listening to the birds and frogs! Being able to walk to coffee and the brewery were a nice change of pace. Great getaway!

I enjoy sitting on the dock to use the App, Merlin Bird ID. It listens for bird calls and displays all the nearby species of birds. A few days before your arrival I recorded the following nearby birds: Northern-Rough-winged Swallow, Chimney Swift, American Goldfinch, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Eastern Towhee, Northern Cardinal, Pileated Woodpecker, Carolina Wren, Dark-Eyed Junco, Blue Jay, Tufted Titmouse, Song Sparrow, and of course Mallard Duck. There's so much wildlife!

Cattail Cottage is a magical little spot. The house is gorgeous, fully stocked and immaculate. The dock is so peaceful - dragonflies and wood frogs and the perfect breeze. The fire pit is awesome. And the landscaping - wow! Our pup absolutely loved it too - lots of room to roam and even a dog bath. We spent a lot of time at the property and loved every minute of it. We will definitely be back - thank you!!

Great location, updated, clean and welcoming stay. We even caught (and released) two bass from the dock. Highly recommend this property for a visit to the cashiers /highlands area.

Great experience with our stay! Tim was great in responding to any questions and the property was perfect. I would not hesitate to return and literally everything we needed was right there!

Cozy Cottage

We loved our stay at Cattail Cottage. It was cozy, comfortable and close to the shops in Cashiers. There were several outdoor spaces to enjoy. The kitchen has a great coffee/tea bar and it was stocked with samples for your visit. The owner also left a snack basket that we throughly enjoyed. Checkout was a breeze!

Our family has frequented "cottages" for several decades and I have learned to pack all kinds of extras from home to make our stay more comfortable-that said-Cattail Cottage exceeded every expectation for hospitality! Both mattresses passed my "princess and the pea" test. I didn't need my Lysol spray or wipes, it was perfectly clean and no smells at all! And there was ample paper towels, toilet paper and even Kleenex! There was numerous ways to get our morning coffee or tea with lots of samples of each from which to select. :) We loved sitting at the dock at sunset and watching the ducks and the Ramblers Trail made walking to dinner options as easy as pie. Nice short drive to Gorges and plenty of trails to enjoy! Looking forward to returning. Thank you again Timothy for our comfortable stay, Cattail Cottage is a stunner!

We had a wonderful time staying at Tim's in Cashiers. He was an excellent host -- very communicative and accommodating. The home is well appointed and was very clean. The property is gorgeous and in a perfect location in Cashiers. We look forward to coming back.

Cattail Cottage is beautiful and comfortable beyond anything we expected. Grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained. Convenient and close to everything. Definitely a 5-star place to stay.
