Spacious and private 5,000 sq.ft. house with four large bedrooms - sleeps maximum of 13 (king with trundled day bed, king with sleeper chair, queen with trundled day bed, twin beds). Great room with dining, all glass sunporch with seating, dining, games. Deck, porches, balcony & many windows offer great views. Fully equipped modern kitchen, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, washer & dryer. TV with Blue-Ray, boom box with CD, foosball table, bumper pool/game table. Outdoor gas grill & 2 picnic tables. Linens are proved. Private & easy access to the river with flat grassy area. No pets. No smoking.

Second long weekend stay for our Church group, fantastic find last year for our yearly New River Canoeing trip. Very convenient to the Riverside canoe launch and we can paddle right back to house. Perfect setup for cooking a great meal and enjoying the back deck with river view. Can’t wait til next year

Awesome house! We had a group of nine women, and everyone agreed it was a fantastic location. Lots of room to spread out, or gather together in one area. I highly recommend it.

This property is fantastic for a family get-together. Beautiful setting, huge kitchen, great games access (cards, foosball, tv). Our group could walk out the door and go fishing (lots of fish), and the bird-watching is excellent. There are a lot of beds, but the bedroom setup is such that with teenage or adult children there may be an awkward arrangement of bedrooms (sleeps about 14 but four bedrooms). Bring your own shampoo and bath soap. The door locks are old and some are difficult to operate, so checking out may be an issue.

Great stay!

Beautiful, spacious and wonderful stay on the New River. They had everything we needed for the 8 adults at our reunion. Loved the porches, deck overlooking the river, lots of towels, and everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare our meals. Highly recommend!

This VRBO is beautiful! Right on the New River with great views. The house is very spacious and has plenty of room for large groups. Would highly recommend to everyone!

The property was as advertised. Large and spacious, well appointed and comfortable.Four couples stayed in the house for a long weekend of golf and a trip to Martinsville for a NASCAR race.Amy was fantastic to deal with. Quick to reply to questions and made our weekend.We will definitely consider staying here again, possible in the Spring or Summer to get the full experience. Fall colors were great!!

Location of the house and the proximity to the river was wonderful. Plenty of space for our family reunion. Plenty of cooking space, utensils, etc. There were quite a few hornets nests and some areas weren’t as clean as they could be. We would definitely come back!

This was the 4th time staying at New River Lodge! We appreciate how well maintained the property is and especially the new fluffy towels! Amy is always helpful and very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Friends weekend

The location and property is wonderful. Overall a nice place with lots of room for everyone. I would suggest that instructions for tv be clearer,light switches were confusing. An easy access to the river would be great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend for family or group stays.

Family Reunion

Families had their own bedroom n bathroom. Kids had their own space and the New River was beautiful to watch and kids n adults enjoyed floating the river. Quiet and relaxing!! Couldn’t had picked a better Estate!!

Another Great Best Friends Weekend

This is the 2nd annual best friends weekend! The home was perfect for us and the river was chilly but we managed! We are already looking forward to next year.

A Beautiful Place

This is the 3rd year trip for our BFF getaway. We love the home, the river, the views, fishing, kayaking, thrifting, etc! Amy our host was wonderful to deal with (small problem, fixed right away). We will definitely be returning!! The Hogge's, The Surber's and the Simpson's (Missing the Lyon's this year)
