We vacation every year with our adult children & our grandchildren . This house was perfect to accommodate our large crew & small pups . The lay out of the house provided lots of space . We enjoyed the easy access to the lake & the fenced yard. Nick, our host , communicated well from start to finish . This was our favorite lake house & we will definitely book again ! Highly recommend for large families & groups.

Our family of 15 thoroughly enjoyed this property. We rented a boat from Squirrel’s and he brought a very nice pontoon boat right to our dock. The kids enjoyed the slide and swimming from the dock along with the tubing. The back porch was our favorite gathering space for games and for coffee. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the game room was a big hit. We all agreed to try to rent the house again soon!!

We’ve been coming to Smith Lake every summer for 16 years with our large family and this has been our favorite house! The open kitchen/living area was perfect. The large fridge and ice machine were amazing. The lot was an easy slope to the water and on a great part of the lake. Nick was a great host. We couldn’t find something and he had it waiting outside the door the next morning. We definitely plan on renting again!!

What a great property!! Weekend getaway to spend time with adult kids and grandkids. House was super clean and plenty of room for everyone. Beds were very comfortable and large kitchen was outstanding for prepping meals. Our favorite part of the day was spending time on the giant screened in porch overlooking the water.Already looking for a time in our calendar to come back again Loved every minute of it.Barry

We had a fabulous time with our whole family. Nick was so helpful before and during our week there. This house is absolutely perfect and has everything you could possibly need. The easy access to the most beautiful and clean lake was a huge bonus! Having a pontoon delivered thru Squirrels Marina was great! We loved the dock and nice, easy ladder getting from the lake to the dock was perfect! Huge fridge and big ice maker were great as well plus crock pot and air fryer….seriously everything you need you will find here…. even played pickle ball on the big driveway. Our family all relaxed on the beautiful huge back porch complete with a big swinging bed. We loved the lake, of course, and there was plenty of room in the house for everyone to do what they wanted to do. We have rented many houses over the years for vacation and we all ranked this our favorite place. We are already talking about returning. It is just perfect!!!!

Great Lake house

Plenty of room for the extended family. The dogs loved the huge, fenced in back yard. Great dock, with plenty of room for our boat and 2 wave runners, plus plenty of room for laying out, swimming ect.. The host was an excellent communicator and addressed ever question we had.

Wonderful Stay – Clean, Comfortable & Perfect for Dogs and Families!We had a wonderful stay at this home on Smith Lake! The house was extremely clean, very well furnished, and stocked with plenty of supplies. Everything felt comfortable, accessible, and thoughtfully set up for guests.The location is quiet and away from traffic, and we felt very safe during our stay. The fenced-in yard was a HUGE plus for our pups and made traveling with dogs so much easier!The boat dock is very nice and easy to access both from the water and from the shoreline. We also loved the screened-in porch. It’s such a comfortable, peaceful place to sit and enjoy the lake.A few little things really stood out to us too: the steps aren’t overly steep, the master bathroom has a fantastic showerhead and faucets, and we had absolutely no issues with the house or property during our stay. The upstairs is especially great for families with children. The bedrooms are amazing, and there is a very large game room that kids would absolutely love.Overall, this is a very clean, comfortable, well-maintained lake home with so many thoughtful touches. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it and stay here again! 5 stars all the way!! The domain name Top10Vacation.com is accurate- it truly was in the Top 10 for us! Thank you for making our trip amazing.

Such an amazing stay! Home was very clean, well equipped for our large family. We were thrilled to have a 2 door glass fridge, a stand alone freezer and ice maker. Everyone had a nice clean space and the screened in covered porch was a perfect addition for our group. We loved this house and would definitely stay again. Another plus is the cove the dock sits in. The views were incredible!We rented a pontoon from Squirells and a fishing trip from Smith Lake Fishing Adventures that were also great.We can't wait to visit again!

Lewis Smith Lake family vacation 2025

Kitchen was wonderful. Double wide refrigerator, separate, large freezer and an industrial ice machine. House located on Lewis Smith Lake. Beautiful setting. Water in Lake very clean. Kids enjoyed jumping off the rocks into the lake. Check in was easy. We were a party of 14. Room for you to bring your boat. Had a great time.

Just fantastic with something to do for every age group and ability. The relatively flat yard and access to lake via the fully fenced backyard was very nice. Plenty of parking even though our entire family seemed to arrive with one person per vehicle. Appliances top notch, beds slept great, couches made for taking a good nap during a ballgame. Would book again without thinking twice and would consider purchasing if the owner ever wants to make me a deal.... :). Terrific water level even at the lowest winter pool - no effect at all on the ability to use floating dock or park a boat there. Our two small dogs enjoyed the quiet back porch.

Great home for family gathering. We always do lake properties and definitely loved "no steps" to the dock! Its still a steep walk but so doable for the great grandparents. Plenty of First floor sleeping is also a plus. The 2nd floor falmily ready rooms were perfect for the parents and 3-7 yr ols to be in rooms together. The kitchen dining and back porch had more that ample space for littl ones and grown ups. The livingroom also had more seating space than many of the VRBOs we've been to. Beds were super comfy, and gotta say the upstairs gameroom was a life saver when the always busy energized young ones had more than 5 minutes inbetween eating, boating,fishing and playing porch games and had to be occupied. Overall, one of the best Alabama, lake front with a dock and slip for our pontoon boat, and room for the family. We were able to put grandmas and great grandmas homecooked meals in the commercial fridge. Ice machine worked its butt off too. Way too much to say about this place but if you are looking this type of gathering, book it now!

Fun Family Time Away

Absolutely Perfect — 10/10 Stay!We just returned from an unforgettable stay at this incredible 6-bedroom, 5-bath lake house on beautiful Smith Lake in North Alabama, and all I can say is — WOW. From start to finish, everything was flawless.Check-in and checkout were seamless and easy — a dream! The host, Nick, was beyond helpful and made us feel completely taken care of. The house itself was spotless, cozy, and spacious — the perfect combination. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautifully decorated, with enough room for everyone to relax comfortably.The view of the lake was absolutely stunning — every single morning felt like a postcard. The location is perfect if you’re looking to unplug, unwind, and truly enjoy the beauty of Smith Lake. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the massive refrigerator (and awesome icemaker!) were such a bonus — especially for a big group like ours.There was truly not one single thing we would change. Everything was 100% perfect — clean, comfortable, welcoming, and luxurious in all the best ways. We’ve already said we will absolutely stay here again, and we’re telling everyone we know to do the same.Thank you, Nick, for sharing this gem with us. We made lifelong memories and are already dreaming of our next trip!

Fantastic property for families and can’t wait to plan another trip back. Loved all the beds, the huge kitchen refrigerator and ice maker. So many extra touches that made the house more accommodating like hand soap in all the bathrooms, Kleenex throughout the house and beach towels. Host was quick to respond to questions.
