Charming cabin with AC near Decatur

Consider this cabin your home away from home while you visit East Tennessee. This lovely cabin features 1 bedroom with 1 full bed and 1 twin bed, and a cot. With amenities like a kitchen, AC, and heating, your stay will be comfortable and enjoyable.

Escape to this serene retreat and immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings. Gather eggs, if you feel like it, or harvest vegetables or fruit in season on our hobby farm.

Our place includes 17 acres of woods for hiking or mushroom foraging. Your day could start with fresh farm eggs (add fresh herbs from the cabin porch if you like) and end with a campfire.

We are minutes from access to one of the best bass fishing lakes in the US: Chickamauga Lake. Room to turn and park a boat trailer is available.

Day trips could include visits to one or more of East Tennessee's waterfalls, or visits to Chattanooga or Knoxville attractions. If you enjoy boating or kayaking several access sites are available nearby on the Tennessee and Hiwassee Rivers.

We hope you enjoy what our little farm place has to offer.

My trip to the cabin was a peaceful and a great experience. The host was friendly and I felt safe while visiting. The kitchen was equipped for cooking and we enjoyed sitting on the porch. If you are looking to relax and get away from the loud city life this is a good spot. My tiny dog enjoyed the property and we'll be back for another stay.

Jon was great in responding to 1 day ahead booking (for Oct 1 & 2 2026). We liked the decor (nice choice of colors). It was fun to use a “tiny house ladder.”We wished that there was an extender to the main ( yellow) house’s wi-fi due to area having spotty internet coverage. Also 1-2 luggage racks would be good since there are no closets or dressers.We were in town for a wedding & would book again if we were in the area again

We are glad to hear that you would book again. And we will continue to listen to guests about wifi. We have heard as many who are happy to be disconnected as those who would prefer it. And we provide the password to our home wifi 200 feet up the driveway and welcome guests to come in range and use it as needed.

Had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Very peaceful to sit on the porch. Clean, quiet and a great location. Host had excellent communication skills. Highly recommend a stay here if you are looking to unwind.

Great weekend getaway

Had a great experience and enjoyed our stay. Jon had great communication and answered any questions we had. The cabin was clean and very cozy. Highly recommended!

Great little cabin ! Rustic , with no tv or in cabin WiFi, but a comfy little place with all the necessary comforts ! We had a nice time visiting with the goats and cow next door, and our dog enjoyed the land and space also!

Tiny Home

Overall stay was great & thankful for allowing us to bring our dogs with us. It was fun to see the free range animals. Overall clean & easy to communicate with, would stay here again.

The cabin was fresh and clean. The room upstairs was comfortable. There is a garden where I could’ve picked some veggies. Jon communicated everything I needed to know. The evenings were cool after a sweltering day. The sunsets were colorful. I was intimidated with the stairs. When taking them down, I went down the stairs facing forward. I would use his place again. 🌻

Great value and friendly host

The property was exactly as described. After previous plans fell through and we needed a last-minute holiday weekend stay, Jon came through. The cabin was clean and in good repair. The property was private enough for our purpose.. It was easy to access and easy to find. We had a great time, searching for mushrooms in the woods and nibbling on fresh mint from the porch. Our campfire got rained out, but the space was absolutely wonderful for spending time with friends and family. The host accommodated allowing us an extra kid to come… So we had four people in the cabin and plenty of space to sleep because we brought an extra camping cot. The Floor Plan definitely allowed for that accommodation. Plenty of hot water, soft and clean bedding. Make sure you bring tick spray for outside. The farm fresh eggs were a treat. There is a very sweet girl next-door who played with our children. We got to feed the goats through the fence as well. Very simple, very unpretentious property in good condition.

It was a joy to host Brigett and the pleasant children and pets with her. Cabin was left in great shape and even decorated with some cute little ducklings that my wife loved and added to a summer wreath.

Great little rental that is clean and budget friendly. The only bad thing was that my corgi couldn't make it up the stair ladder into the loft due to his short stumpers, lol. My daughters and I enjoyed picking and eating the wild blackberries growing around the property. The host was very helpful and friendly.
