We had a memorable enjoyable family stay (6 adults) over the Christmas holiday. Communication with the owner was prompt and clear. The cabin was super clean, comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen for cooking holiday meals for foodies. The outdoor spaces provided flexibility and opportunity to enjoy the lake view and wildlife.

TN Wedding Getaway

Came to TN from Ohio for a wedding. Enjoyed being on the lake and being able to relax. Nice quiet secluded setting allowed us to chill out with family.

Great stay!

We enjoyed staying in your home! The location was great and the house was very comfortable and clean. There were so many extras, such as shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc one of the better places we’ve ever stayed. The water equipment was wonderful, we truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return!!

Lake House Getaway

Our family had a wonderful stay! The home was beautiful as well as the views. The check in process was super easy. The host stayed in communication and was a pleasure to work with. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

The place was amazing. Great view of the lake. Perfectly decorated and comfortable. Being able to park our boat easily was very nice. The owners were very responsive to me. Will stay again!

The house is cute, decorated with a lake theme, and has a modern kitchen with essentials provided which made cooking simpler. The house was very clean. The beds are comfortable, and there are cozy blankets. The proximity to the lake offers easy access to the dock and water toys. The flat, long driveway is suitable for larger vehicles. They had a ping pong table which was fun!However, the negatives outweighed the positives for us. Upon entering the unit, we noticed a strong odor from a burner on the stove that was left on and had filled the house with gas. We had to spend an hour outside on the front porch as it was raining, uncertain if it was safe to stay. Upon re-entering, we were excited to go in the lake but discovered algae in the lake inlet, which AI informed us could cause sickness so we didn’t feel safe to get in the water. The owner’s communication was primarily via AI generated messages which felt impersonal, and the lengthy check-out list included tasks like taking the garbage to the end of the driveway, stripping all beds and pillows, starting a load of laundry, starting a load of dishes, and emptying the grease trap in the grill, among others. This made it difficult to relax during our vacation. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Please read all the other 122 Reviews on Vrbo and the 81 other Reviews on the other platform as this is not typical and disappointing that the guest never called us once even though we left our phone number in 5 of the messages to her. We personally advised her and apologized that a cleaner had bumped a burner, which has never happened before in the past 10 years and then we did emphasize the importance of this issue with our cleaner. Glad that our “house is cute, decorated with a lake theme, and has a modern kitchen with essentials provided which made cooking simpler.” Glad that our “house was very clean.” Happy that “The beds are comfortable, and there are cozy blankets.” Glad that “The proximity to the lake offers easy access to the dock and water toys.” And the views of the Lake are awesome along with the amazing eagles and osprey and deer! Happy that “The flat, long driveway is suitable for larger vehicles. They had a ping pong table which was fun!” Hate to say it but we sometimes see folks scare themselves with AI warnings as we have had folks all over the Lake paddling and swimming all summer long!

Peaceful with Beautiful Views

We had a great stay at this Chickamauga Lake House. The views were absolutely beautiful, and the house itself was very comfortable. The host was communicative and helpful throughout our stay. One thing to keep in mind: the house is in a pretty remote area, so I recommend stocking up on groceries and essentials before you arrive. Overall, a peaceful, family getaway with stunning scenery and a private dock — just what we needed!

Fun in the sun

The property was beautiful. Plenty of space for everyone. The boat dock with paddle boat and boards were perfect entertainment for the kids. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to visit again.

Weekend Away

The lake house is beautiful and well maintained. Very spacious and perfect for our family of five! The location is convenient to many wonderful sights and towns. We visited the Lost Sea, town of Sweetwater (Lazy Begal for dinner) and spent a day at Fall Creek Falls State Park. Wish we had more time to spend on the lake! We will plan to stay longer next time!

Family vacation

Our family of four highly enjoyed our stay. The house is amazing! We brought our boat and our teenage boys loved going fishing everyday. We had a great time making memories as a family! We were relaxed and stress free!

Great River Home

By far the best I've stayed at. The home was everything I thought it would be and more. Rex was an amazing host and stayed in contact with me the whole time. I would give more stars if possible. If you're looking for a place on the river this is where you need to stay.
