Nestled between Lake Pontchartrain & Lake Catherine this is the perfect place to relax. Just a short half hour drive to New Orleans or 15 minutes to Slidell. The 1st floor has a master bedroom with a king bed & private bath. The 2nd floor has a master bedroom with king bed & private bath along with 2 other bedrooms that have a queen bed in each with a shared bath & 1 more bedroom with a full size bed and full over full bunk beds with a private bath.

The house was very spacious, nice to have bathrooms with all the bedrooms. Like the location and the view. Cleaning was only fair. It looked to be surface cleaned but the bathroom and bedrooms could have been better. Didn’t spend a lot of time at the house so we cleaned up the areas ourselves so we felt more comfortable.

Overall the property was nice and as listed on site! There are 2 flights of steps so be ready for a good workout. My sons and Husband were able to go fishing for the first time ever and had some good bonding time! My family seen 4 alligators and the fish jumping out the water which was so freaking cool and a TRUE MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE for the whole family! We weren’t prepared for the night bugs lol were from TN and never experienced that! Overall we had some good family bonding time and a nice first family trip in the nice property! I would recommend to others and did I mention not far from shopping maybe 15-20 minutes away which was great!! I’m a shopaholic!! The host was awesome and great communication!! He and his wife super nice plus so quick to respond back whether on the VRBO app or text to personal cellphone!!

My family (2 adults, three teens) were visiting New Orleans over Spring Break, but wanted to stay somewhere that balanced seclusion with convenience and this place covered all the bases! Even though the property next door is still under renovation (warning - some debris and trash next to the property), the view from the back of the house is amazing and the house itself is spacious, but also allows us to all watch a movie at midnight. When we talk about family memories, this is one that ranks near the very top, with a beautiful home, amazing views, plenty of room and a host that wanted to make sure this was a perfect vacation. Would recommend this in a heartbeat.

There is simply no better rental property in the area within 30 miles. A real hidden gym - I seriously debated about not sharing this review :) to keep it “hidden”, but it’s simply too amazing not to share. The hosts were amazing and incredibly accommodating as well. Whether visiting New Orleans, Slidell, Bay St. Louis or anywhere along the Louisiana/Mississippi Gulf Coast, you won’t find a better property.

The home was perfect for our family Christmas vacation as we came together traveling from Texas and Georgia. It was so roomy for our large group (and dogs) with brand new & comfy furniture, beds, appliances and bathrooms (stocked with everything we could possibly need). The views were absolutely stunning, especially overlooking the docks at sunset. It was so peaceful at the home yet about 30 minute drive to the French Quarter and 15-20 minutes to Slidell. Plenty of parking available under the house and on gravel driveway (the owners gave us heads up to park there as it’s a lakefront property & will be muddy when it rains). The owners were very responsive & friendly and gave us some great recommendations. We made great memories here and would stay again!

We were a party of 5 adults attending a wedding. Over the 3 day stay there was not enough water pressure to do anything. No showers, barely enough water to wash your hands. No one could shower, the women could not do their hair, for a wedding. The host did visit to try and fix the problem but was unsuccessful. He acknowledged there was too much sand in the well. He agreed to give us a refund and I was willing to settle for 50%. Unfortunately he is not a man of his word and no refund was given. I have the text conversation and videos of the lack of water to prove all of this.
