Great house with lots of history. If you are looking for a brand new house, this isn’t for you. I thought it was such a cute place and really enjoyed it.

Great place to stay, absolutely no issues and host was very responsive. Beautiful almost pastoral mountain like setting very spacious, great kitchen, and very appealing rustic ambience. If the opportunity arises, I would definitely stay there again.

This is a truly a Historical Charm and it was great to experience this house. The Kitchen and Living Room was grand in its own why with modern amenities.

Really cool historic home with tons of charm. The property grounds were also very unique. Hosts were welcoming and have considered lots of amenities. Glad we found a halfway point for future road trips.

We enjoyed our short stay at this unique cabin in the woods. The temperature was perfect for a little fire in the fire pit. Everyone slept comfortably. Thank you for taking care of the sweet cats that gave us joy.
Macon is beautiful in spring.

This property is truly historic and gorgeous. Pictures honestly don’t do it justice. The location feels so secluded, but is conveniently located to some amazing local restaurants! We only stayed one night on the way north from Florida, but already are talking with family about planning another trip to this spectacular home!

A fabulous lodge. The owner has very thoughtful preparation. Highly recommended if traveling with pets. Would love to come back again just to explore the trail conveniently connected to the backyard.

Thank you, TnT, for a wonderful stay! The cabin was cozy and as pictured, with thoughtful touches like the antique farm house decor that gave the place a warm charming touch. The cabin was centrally located and the property behind the cabin was conducive to hiking where we saw lots of deer! The host’s quick responses to our questions made the trip a pleasure.

Spacious rooms, antiques, modern day upgrade while preserving historical nature of the structure, sunroom overlooking wooded area, relaxing, and a peaceful place to work while traveling. Numerous desks and tables to work upon. Kitchen is on a separate floor. Spacious and well equipped including a fireplace. Upgrades balanced charmingly with antiques in multiple bathrooms and throughout the house. Decor preserves rustic charm. Looking forward to next stay.Pet-friendly. Outstanding communication with hosts.

The only reason I didn’t give this five stars is because when we were hiking around the grotto, we stepped on a hornets nest and me and my daughter got tagged several times. Has nothing to do with the home or the renters house is absolutely beautiful the trails behind it are beautiful and it’s really close to downtown. just do not get off the trails when you’re hiking behind that !!!

Multiple stays at a historical lodge gently mixed with updates which compliments the atmosphere and homeliness of the location.Excellent hosts all around. Garage parking with walkway directly into the Main Level. Not a game room or supplies that take over the garage. Additional parking, too.Cat friendly with adorable cats that call the location home plus bring your own pet(s). Great for larger families looking to visit Macon and experience downtime away from the hustle and crowds of the City. Venture throughout the wooded trails and enjoy nature tucked within the trees while escaping the crowded City.
