At first glance the unit was good. The living room and dining area were nice, but updates were needed in most of the other spaces. The main bathroom had several rusted out parts, and the shower curtain liner was bright pink from bacteria overgrowth. Not long after we got there and settled, we noticed there was a strong mildewy smell in the unit, almost like it was blowing through the vents. We thought maybe we just needed to air out the space, but that didn't help. The smell was so bad, we could smell it on all of our belongings after we left. We did alert Fairly (property manager?), and they said they'd let the owner know. We never got a response back, with an explanation for why. Another thing we noticed is the place was in need of a deep cleaning. There were dirty floors and surfaces, spider webs everywhere, clumps of hair in the refrigerator, etc. We did go and buy cleaning supplies to take care of some things, but I figured for the cleaning fee charged, everything would've been taken care of. We did alert Fairly of this, as well. The response we got from the owner was that there had been a lot of visitors over the summer, so they didn't have the opportunity to do a deep clean. Sad and very unfortunate. There were also spider webs everywhere. One last thing to note. The unit is advertised as having two queen sized beds. One is a full sized bed. Be mindful if you bring your own sheets, like we did. The concerns we had did not allow us to fully relax, as intended.
