Rock Point Cottage sits within feet from the Ocean on the Western shore of Somes Sound in the village of Hall Quarry.
Rock Point offers all the amenities of home, including: Full size appliances, washer / Dryer, all linens, granite fire place, large deck, flat screen satellite TV with 115 channels, free WiFi access, private parking with unobstructed breathtaking views over Somes Sound and Sargent Mountain.
Rock Point Cottage comes with 3 shared deep water docks perfect for fishing or keeping your boat. Enjoy the sunrise and quiet island atmosphere from your own deck, and listen to the loons at sunset. A deep water mooring is complimentary if you are bringing / renting a boat.
Our Cottage are well maintained, and kept to the highest standards in cleanliness and quality. We provide all the firewood you need, soap, detergent, paper towels, trash removal, and even a large kettle to cook your fresh Maine lobsters which we have available at our dock. Enjoy fine local restaurants, and spend the day in Bar Harbor which is only a 10 minute drive. Enjoy the peaceful surrounding rich in wildlife and amazing views.

Chambers Oceanfront Cottages on Somes Sound was founded nearly 40 years ago by Don & Marilyn Chambers. They built their reputable vacation rental business on one of the most beautiful spots on Mount Desert Island. My wife and I (Paul & Ashlee Grindle) have been involved with many aspects of Chambers Cottages for several years, helping out behind the scenes, and learning the business. In 2012 we purchased Chambers Cottages, and we are very excited as we enter the 2017 season. As natives to the area, Ashlee & I take pride in the service and hospitality we provide. We are very proud and honored to continue in Don & Marilyn's footsteps, delivering quality, cleanliness, and anything we can do to make your stay the best possible! Putting forth our best efforts, our mission is to maintain the highest of standards and service which Don & Marilyn have provided for over 40 years.
