Harbor Daze - Hot Tub! This charming three-bedroom, two-bath home offers an open living area, private backyard with fire pit area, and a large deck with spectacular views of Southwest Harbor. Immaculate and comfortable, it is an ideal place to just relax or use as a home base for all your vacation activities. Whether you are in the fully equipped kitchen, sunny dining area, or relaxing on the couch, the nautical motif, cathedral ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows provide a light and airy feel and great views of the harbor. Sit at the desk in the loft to write out your postcards while taking in the view. Enjoy the sunrise over the harbor as you sip your morning coffee on the deck and watch the harbor come to life. Then enjoy all that the island has to offer, but be sure to be back in time to catch the breathtaking sunset. As the sun sets behind you, watch the light illuminate the boats in bright white with a pink glow on the entire harbor.
Soak in the hot tub after a day of hiking, biking, swimming, sightseeing, shopping and adventuring. Hot Tub, Cable HD TV and wifi internet.

Situated on the "quiet side" of the island, you can enjoy the real Down East Maine away from the crowds, but still be within minutes of world-famous Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

You can explore all that the park has to offer by yourself, take a guided tour or take Mount Desert Island's Island Explorer bus, available to the public free of charge! Harbor Daze is on the Island Explorer bus route...destinations include just about anywhere you want to go on the island.

Wide Range of Fun Activities: There are a number of outfitters located on Mount Desert Island that rent bicycles and kayaks as well. Just ten miles to Bar Harbor and you can enjoy a wide variety of activities from the most relaxed to the most rigorous, dining for all tastes and budgets, and shopping in many unique shops and galleries. Regardless of your interests, this cottage and surrounding attractions are sure to make for a fulfilling vacation!

Come in the Fall-Beautiful Foliage, lower rates! The months of September and October are a fabulous time to come to 'Harbor Daze' House. The rates are lower, the crowds have left, the weather is comfortable and the foliage is spectacular!!

We had a great stay. The house was lovely and comfortable and provided everything we needed — and then some! The location is perfect, everything was clearly labeled, and check-in and check-out couldn’t have been easier. Thanks for giving us such an ideal base for our time in Acadia. We’d happily book here again!

Great location within walking distance of the cute downtown of Southwest Harbour. Hot tub and fire pit were delightful. The coffee maker broke during our stay and Amanda replaced it immediately. We stayed with our toddler and the split unit air conditioners in the bedrooms were very helpful.

We had a wonderful week at Harbor Daze. I think this is our third time staying here. The house is comfortable and clean and the kitchen has been nicely updated since we were last here. And while there is some traffic noise because it's on the main road, it's not noticeable inside the house, and well worth it to be in such a great location. It's so nice to be able to walk into town after, or before, a day of hiking in the park. And the deck is wonderful for enjoying coffee in the morning or reading a book in the late afternoon. We will definitely be back!

This property was perfect for us! Located on the “quiet side” in South Harbor we were able to walk to the small town to eat and shop, and were close to some less populated trails. We also had easy access to the park and to Bar Harbor. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, clean, and had beautiful views! We had deer in the yard one morning

The house has a fantastic location, a short walk from downtown Southwest Harbor and all the cute shops. Great view of the harbor, quiet, clean and comfortable.

The house was immaculate upon arrival. All rooms were stocked with linens and towels. The hot tub was well maintained. Everything was excellent and went above expectations.

Perfect location to enjoy Acadia

We loved everything about our stay. From the kitchen having what we needed, to the hot tub and fire pit being just what we needed after a day of hiking, to the comfortable living area, it was all as advertised and perfect for us. We loved being on the quiet side with just a short drive to what we wanted to do!

Location was great and the view was beautiful! The kitchen/living area had plenty of space. The board games were fun - we played Liar, a new to us dice game. One of the bedrooms upstairs gets a little warm in August, but there are lots of fans available. All appliances work great including the grill and washer/dryer. Thankfully, bug spray was available in the house, because the deck is a great space. Be sure to eat at Vacationland for breakfast, Eat a Pita for lunch, and Salt Shop for ice cream all within walking distance. (always check hours first) Buds Burrito and the Friday farmers market were excellent surprise finds! (also w/i walking distance). Great place to stay if visiting Acadia. Short drive to the park sites - 20 min or so. Absolutely bike the Carriage Roads (rent from Acadia Outdoor). Jordan House popovers were worth the hype, but beware of bees and bird poop! Atlantic Brew Tour was very good. You have to try Blueberry Beer - it’s surprisingly yummy! Travelin’ Lobstah super good! We used the buses a few times without issue. Everyday Joes in Bar Harbor is good. Lumberjack show was a fun find. Great Head Trail, Otter Point, land bridge, and Ship Harbor Trail are not to miss. And the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain was bucket list worthy. (Wear wind gear and headlamp) SW Harbor Food Mart was a nice grocery store very close to the house.

Beautiful property!

We had an amazing time during our stay! The property is very clean, spacious, and has pretty views from the windows and deck. The location is fabulous, close by to restaurants and coffee shops. We loved spending time in the hot tub after a day of hiking. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Location, location, location!

My family and I loved staying here! It was centrally located to many of must sees on the island and it’s located in a quaint little harbor - Southwest Harbor. It’s walkable distance to shops, restaurants, and downtown area. The hot tub was great too after a long day exploring. Pictures are accurate and the rental was clean. Check in/checkout was simple and easy.

Trip to Maine

We had a great time (2 couples), the place was very comfortable. We were out every day exploring the area. We did e-bikes in Acadia national park, boat ride and eating a lot of lobster. Thanks for sharing your place.

This is our second stay at Harbor Daze; that in itself explains our high ratings.We prefer the “Quiet Side”of Acadia. Access to Carriage Roads is easy and popovers at the Common Good is a must whenever we are in the area. This is a great nonprofit supporting the local community.The house was clean and the hot tub was a treat after biking ! Communication with Amanda was easy and incredibly fast. We are likely to return again !

A great home base on MDI.

We had an excellent stay at Harbor Daze this August. The house was extremely clean, functional, and had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable for the week. The highlight was coming back from hikes and bike rides and being able to soak in the hot tub! The house had nice views of the harbor and was close enough to walk to a few places for dinner, which was really nice.

Comfortable rental

Great place. The only complaint is that the cable didn’t have signal so we couldn’t watch movies at night. House was clean and comfortable. Location was great and we really enjoyed eating dinners on the deck.

Great location and communication

Love the Southwest Harbor area and this location was a walk into town and short drive to ocean at Seawall. Hot tub was a treat after days of biking. And Amanda was amazing with her quick response to any concerns.

Wonderful week at Harbor Daze!

We had a wonderful week in this very comfortable, sunny home. It was great to be able to walk to the bakery, restaurants, etc. and to have a view of the harbor. We enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub at night after hiking and having blueberry muffins for breakfast out on the deck. I hope we'll be back again soon!

Comfortable home away from home

Four adults were more than comfortable in this beautiful harbor home. We walked to town, supermarket was close, marina/harbor views were lovely, and the hot tub felt amazing after our long hikes in Acadia. Kitchen and home were overall well stocked and Amanda was very responsive. We loved it! Hope to return someday.
