This place was a very nice stay for two adults. It was centrally located to all the hiking in the Redwood Forest and Smith River recreation area. We took a drive up the coast on Highway 101. Went horseback riding on the dunes and beach in Crescent city and went inside the lighthouse. The furthest we went was to the Oregon caves. The whole stay was wonderful and the owner was a fabulous host!!

Very peaceful and serene atmosphere. Eileen, the host, was amazing, friendly, and offered great recommendations on places to visit during our stay. The Grove of the Titans is absolutely worth the trip, as it’s is breathtaking!The home was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect for exploring the area while offering a quiet retreat at the end of the day. We truly enjoy our time here and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We would definitely stay here again!

My sister and I loved our stay here. The house was so beautiful, the big windows allowed you to enjoy the wonderful view of the river. Eileen was very gracious and helpful. The redwoods were less than a half hour away, and the coast just a little further! We would definitely stay here again, it was a great landing spot after a day of sight seeing and hiking. Amazing view!

So many windows and glass doors in this house make you feel like you’re in the great outdoors, and the view of the river is gorgeous! The host was super nice and accommodating. I can’t wait to stay again someday.

This is a quiet,private space right on the river! It was clean and roomy. Eileen , the host, was wonderful & welcoming. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, watching and listening to the river, and exploring the nearby beaches and attractions.

Wonderful place. Spectacular location.

Thank you to our host for a wonderful visit at her new large, clean dream vacation home near the redwoods. The location overlooking the gently flowing river is sweet and soothing - so peaceful. We loved being there. Eileen was welcoming and accommodating. Everything was comfortable and new. Would love to return!

We absolutely loved our stay in Gasquet on the Smith River. From the moment we arrived, Eileen made us feel so welcome. She met us, showed us around the house, and introduced us to Mojo the cat, who was so friendly and loving and definitely added to our experience.Eileen is the sweetest lady, and you can tell how much she loves sharing her little piece of paradise with her guests. The view is absolutely amazing! There were also so many little things around the house that caught my eye, like the beautiful bar stools and the unique chest at the end of the bed. The telescope was another special touch and gave us a chance to take an even closer look at the beautiful surroundings.One of my favorite things was the skylight above the bed. Being able to lie there at night and look up at the stars was so peaceful and special.We had such a relaxing stay and truly enjoyed everything about it—the beautiful Smith River, the incredible view, the house, sweet Mojo, and especially Eileen’s warm hospitality. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome place in a great location!

My fiancé and I stayed at Eileen’s place for a couple nights while visiting the Redwood forest. She greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the property, and gave us fantastic recommendations of what to do in the area. She even had snacks for us upon our arrival. I would recommend her place to anyone staying in the area, super close to all the Redwoods sites and the coast. Thanks again!

The studio apartment is spacious and open to the wonderful view of the Smith River. The light changes througout the day ever changing. What a beautiful space the owner has created.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the studio apartment on the Smith River! We were in the area to explore the national park and wanted to find a serene and scenic place to stay outside of Crescent City - this apartment completely hit all the check points for us. The drive from the city to the apartment is not too long and was absolutely breathtaking between the redwoods, the river, and the national forest. The apartment itself was stunning and clean. Waking up to see the fog over the Smith River each morning was such a special treat - truly so beautiful!!! The host had excellent communication with us. She always checked in to make sure we were comfortable during our stay and even gave us some great recommendations for the area. Thank you, Eileen for sharing this beautiful space with others!

Such a lovely and restorative refuge. Cannot wait to come back. We cooked every night and saw river otters swimming in the morning! Eileen is a lovely person as well.
