Great location for University of Chicago, Obama Library, Museum of Science and Industry (etc.) visits. Directly across the street from a Giordano’s for Deep Dish fans! Excellent timely communication with the host. Would definitely stay again on a forthcoming visit to the South Side.

The apartment is great - 3 nice sized bedrooms, full kitchen, washer/dryer on premises. Multiple restaurants within easy walking distance as well as a Target department store. We used public transit to go the the Museum of Science and Industry and to the Obama Center. Highly recommend!

Very nice apartment in a great neighborhood! This was the perfect place for our stay in Chicago. The host was an excellent communicator and responded pretty quickly whenever I had questions about a few things.

I only spent one night but it was exactly as expected and clean. My only critique is that it got very warm overnight and we did not know how to regulate the temp. 10 mins from soldier field and convenient. I would stay there again.

A lot of noise on the first morning. A lot of police activity and fire department activity. I wasn’t able o pleased with having to pay for parking when there is a parking lot right outside your back door.

Police and fire department activity is unfortunately outside of our direct control, but we understand how disruptive it can be. Regarding parking, we understand your frustration about having to pay for parking when there is a lot nearby. Parking availability and access to that lot are subject to the property's and surrounding area's parking arrangements, and we’ll continue working to provide clearer information about available parking options before arrival. The host was welcoming and accessible--communication was excellent and the apartment was exactly what we needed to accommodate our family. The location can't be beat, with easy access to the whole neighborhood.I hope to stay here again--would recommend to anyone staying in the area.Thank you again for a great stay!

We loved our stay! The apartment was clean and nicely furnished. The beds were comfy and we loved being right next to the best pizza in Chicago & a wonderful coffee shop right around the corner. The host was super helpful & answered any questions we had very quickly.

While the property was accurate compared to the listing, I wouldn’t recommend booking this place. The host messaged me the day of checking stating that my reservation was still under review, while the booking had already been made a month in advance. I was also asked for several pieces of personal information, which made me a bit uncomfortable.

Located in a desirable location. There is a breakfast place, Valois, about a block away (cheap, good eats). The pizza place directly across the street had great pasta and deep dish pizza. It's a great location for easy access to downtown Chicago, Chinatown or the museums. The property was extremely clean and getting into the property was easy. I'd have given a 5 star review if we were able to shower. Unfortunately, the tub drain was plugged and none of us could shower. One of us took a military shower (only turning the water on to rinse to avoid standing in a pool of old back washed water from previous showers) and one of us just washed our hair in the kitchen sink. The owner was very responsive about the issue and offered to have someone there at 10am to fix it, however check out was at 11am and that seemed like a huge rush and besides, we had plans so none of us got to shower which isn't always a great way to start your day when you have other plans in Chicago and want to start your day clean. If we didn't have plans an offered late check out would have been nice so we could have all showered without rushing. Again, it was a very nice place and the owner was responsive.

Four of us stayed three nights for a nearby family gathering. This is a lovely apartment. It's in a typical Chicago apartment built 100 years ago with high ceilings, lovely moldings around the doors and on the walls. It was recently renovated and looks very up to date without losing its original charm. The kitchen is equipped with everything we could have needed plus a lot more. There are three bedrooms, each with its own closet (the middle bedroom's closet even has a built in light, a nice touch). The front bedroom faces the street, has a bay window, must be 25' deep and almost as wide. We all liked it so much we hung out there more than in the living room. The other two bedrooms have plenty of room. The beds are comfortable.The apartment is on an attractive residential street, several doors down from a busy commercial avenue with lots of restaurants and shops, but there was no street noise to bother us. Being a first floor apartment, we were aware of foot steps from the residents upstairs, but it was not a problem.

AWFUL. DO NOT RENT. There was jackhammering next door that DID NOT STOP from 8am-5pm including Sat and Sunday. Host should have known (probably did) this was happening which made the place uncomfortable and impacted our stay greatly. We left early, and even though host was updated about the issue immediately and throughout stay, they did nothing to make it right. At minimum, a discount was requested and reasonable but not provided. This place is going to be noisy for quite a while so DEFINITELY PASS.
