The Space:

'OLINA, Puako Condo 106 is a ground floor unit that was designed with great attention to detail for a clean modern style and high quality feel throughout. Furnishings and decor selected for this unit are luxurious, calming, and bright through out with elegant fabrics, quality LED lighting, high end appliances, stone countertops, great kitchen hardware. Bathrooms are modern with walk-in showers, stylish vanities with adjustable LED lighting. The unit stays cool with two A/C units (one in the main bedroom and one for the living room kitchen) and powerful celing fans in each room. The Puako Condos have beautiful gardens surrounding with fruit, citrus trees, and fragrant flowering plants. Enjoy the well kept pool and the small pool for the kiddies. There are loungers, bbq and chairs for you to use while you stay at the condo.

This location is close to resort hotels, multiple golf courses and other amenities.

Puako is a quaint, secluded community. As you drive past the 1852 Hokuloa Church, you will immediately feel like you have stepped back to a more relaxed time in old Hawaii. Quiet and away from the crush of tourists, there are only 160 homes along the two miles of Puako Beach Drive. Also conveniently located next door to the historic and friendly family-owned Puako General Store, where you can buy food, cold drinks, prepared meals, rent DVDs, and more.

Puako is a quiet, friendly and historic oceanfront community and this location is steps away for picture perfect sunsets, whale watching and snorkelling. You will see active joggers, cyclists, and walkers, making their way from end to end in this peaceful community. If you head to the shore you will find ; Honu - sea turtles along the shore line, coral reefs heading out of the bay abounding with colorful fish. The Puako bay area is a favorite spot for snorkeling, scuba diving. This condo is just steps away from beach access points across the road and many more access options along the length of Puako Beach Drive. Come in January and February during the height of the whale season to witness these gentle giants breaching along the Kohala Coast.

PLEASE NOTE: This unit has ONE dedicated parking stall. Please consider renting a larger vehicle to accommodate all of your party. There is NO street parking allowed for vacation rentals according to local regulations. A secondary parking stall within the designating building parking lot MAY be an option but cannot be guaranteed for the duration of your stay or designated until shortly before your arrival. IF and as available, the additional parking stall within the designating building parking lot will be assessed an additional, daily fee. Please inquire directly, shortly before your arrival, for further information and potential availability.

Please keep in mind that Guest is in a very small and peaceful residential neighborhood. Noise carries over quiet landscapes and near water. IBR asks that Guest and Guest’s children respect Property neighbors' privacy, peace and quiet between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Please refrain from using the lanais for conversations or viewing devices during quiet hours.

This unit is on the ground floor and is accessed from the outside via an open air walkway minimizing your contact with others.

Guest Access:
Guests will have full use and access to condo and grounds. The pool deck and public BBQ area is shared with other persons in building.

The Neighborhood:
Puako is still the only ocean front residential community along the Gold Coast/Kohala Coast of the Big Island nestled between the Mauna Lani Resort, Fairmont Orchid and Mauna Kea/Hapuna Resorts. Hapuna Beach State Park has earned the reputation of being one of Hawaii Island's finest beaches. It is the largest White Sands Beach on The Big Island and consistently rates on Top Ten lists internationally. Hapuna Beach offers some wonderful opportunities for swimming, bodysurfing, bodyboarding, sunbathing and snorkeling and is just a mile from Puako. You can even drive the back road to Hapuna Beach and not get on the Highway. Local shore fisherman can be seen daily enjoying the great reef fishing. Puako Beach Drive has no through access which keeps it virtually still undiscovered by many.

There are six separate "beach" accesses along this stretch of beach. Although there is not a tremendous amount of sand, there are tide pools and the extensive protected reef is remarkable. During low tide, small pools dot the entire coastline and these pools are filled with small sea life that make excellent areas to explore for all ages. If you enjoy shore diving, kayaking and snorkeling you can find a spot along this stretch of shoreline to enter the water. Offshore the reef is home to a wide variety of fish and many days you will see dolphins playing right from the shore. Enjoy the Whales who return each year to mate and give birth in the tropical warm waters during the winter months.

Getting Around:
A car is recommended for getting around the area and enjoying all that Hawaii Island has on offer.
