Welcome to the Red Mountain Cabin, your perfect mountain retreat in the heart of Lake City, Colorado. Tucked into the scenic San Juan Mountains, this warm and inviting home offers comfort, space, and stunning views, ideal for nature lovers, outdoor adventurers, and anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful alpine setting. Whether you enjoy grilling on the back deck, viewing the abundant wildlife in the yard, or marveling at the incredible view from the hilltop gazebo, Red Mountain Cabin has it all! Red Mountain Cabin is also located on the world famous Alpine loop! Ample parking for truck and trailer, and can ride the loop on your side by side right from the cabin! Please note: For the safety and security of guests and our home, there is one exterior security camera mounted above the garage monitoring the driveway.

This cabin/house was great for our family of 7 that included 3 generations. We loved the large parking area for 2 trucks, a trailer, 3 dirt bikes and a Mule. The kitchen was stocked well. All the beds and furniture were comfortable. Communications with the host were easy.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful cabin. 8 of us slept, bathed and cooked comfortably. We took advantage of the many simple pleasures in Lake City- fishing, hiking, walked up to Sweety's Art Zoo, shopping, dining, and played on the playground in town. Thanks to our hosts who helped with a small (not house related) problem asks made us feel welcome!

The host was very quick to respond with any questions that we had. We loved the location because it was really close to town and we could hop on our UTV to get on Alpine Loop in less than five minutes. The house was roomy enough for eight adults. We really enjoyed the spacious kitchen and big dining table to eat and play games on. However, there is not a good way to enter the house without a lot of stairs. We were older adults that struggled with the ten plus steps!

First time to Lake City. Loved the cabin and appreciated that they did not use toxic smelling cleaners and detergents. They were very prompt in filling a propane bottle the went empty. Loved the deer that come very close and the couple of bears that were mostly across the road. The mountains are gorgeous and the off roading fit our limited skill level. I recommend doing the Alpine Loop. All and all, great place in a great location. Would recommend to family and friends.

Had a wonderful time place was very clean host was very respectful and helpful. Place in a great area for access with UTVs enjoyed our stay very much would come back again. Had plenty of parking for two enclosed trailers with side by sides and two full size trucks

The cabin was larger than expected, because sometimes photos exaggerate the space, but there was so much "breathing room" for the 5 of us in the main living/kitchen/dining area that it really gave us space to unwind and decompress. Having a laundry room with washer/dryer/iron/ironing board was a real plus! Thoroughly enjoyed our time there for a wedding at beautiful Lake San Cristobal. Lake City is a laid-back, friendly town and this cabin is a welcoming home to relax in.
