Loved our stay at Edisto Beach

Beautiful home! Perfect place to rent at Edisto Beach. It had everything we needed and owners were so accommodating. We will be back.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Seacloud. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing family-and-friends getaway. From the spacious layout to the thoughtful amenities, it truly felt like the owners thought of everything.We accidentally forgot our linens, and the owners were incredible — within 30 minutes they had a solution ready for us. That level of kindness and responsiveness made the trip even better.Seacloud was the perfect home base for our vacation, and we’re already talking about coming back. We will definitely be returning!

Family Vacation

My family and I stayed at the Sea Cloud and we had a wonderful time! Plenty of space, plenty of beds and we loved the screened in back porch! We rented a golf cart (highly recommend) and went sight seeing every night! Beach access 22 was our favorite spot! Overall we had a great family vacation!

Wonderful space!

We loved our time here! Our family went with friends. The space upstairs was great for kids!! And downstairs patio area was so spacious too! Everything about the house was great for our group and it was such a quick walk to the beach!

Ideal vacation

Perfect beach home for a large group. Lots of space and parking. Awesome layout. Walk to the beach and Whaley's. Hosts were great to work with. Couldn't really ask for more!

Great Family Vacation!

We stayed at the house for a family vacation which included 7 adults and 5 children. The house was spacious with porches in front and back. Very well equipped kitchen perfect for a large family. Good location close to beach, stores and restaurants. Great house for our family!

Great Place

The house was as advertised and everything was in great shape. I'd recommend it to anyone. The cargo lift was a very nice touch!

The perfect house for our annual friends group

Location, accommodations, and owners hospitality all helped make this stay 5 stars. Already trying to book again for next year! We have a big group of friends and this was perfect for us! Thanks for the extra fridge too, RHB!

Mom & Dad’s 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration!

Our family spent the weekend at Edisto Beach to celebrate my mom and dad‘s 50th wedding anniversary. The property was absolutely perfect! Everything was just as photographed in the listing, and the property owners were friendly and quick to respond before, during, and after our stay. We hope to stay at the Sea Cloud again on our next visit, and I have already recommended it to a family friend!

Beach

We loved this house! The upstairs is great for a teen hangout - sleep space. Living room has high ceilings. We enjoyed sitting on the front & back porches. Lots of room to spread out! And very close to the beach

Perfect house for multiple families!!

Wonderful stay!! The house was perfect for our three families. The upstairs kids room was perfect for the kiddos and each couple got their own room. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The porches were my favorite and it had a great yard we used for an East Egg hunt!! Would definitely recommend!! The owners were extremely kind and had great hospitality!!

Great family home equipped with everything needed to have a wonderful vacation. The upper room was great for the kids. The open kitchen living room was special. The screened in back porch was my personal favorite in the mornings!

Perfect House for Thanksgiving Gathering

We had a great family gathering in this large house. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to prepare a large meal. The additional refrigerator was a huge bonus. The house was clean and the furniture was comfortable. The elevator lift was very helpful taking heavy items upstairs. I would definitely like to stay there again.

Retreat Weekend 2025

It was fabulous. House had plenty of room for all 12 of us, yet the many porches provided the ability for small groups to have private conversations.The lift made loading in supplies less back breaking.

Great Family Getaway

What a great place for family gatherings. Only a block from the beach. Fresh seafood store near the golf course. A wonderful house with nice quiet surroundings. We had a great time with family gathered together from four states. We would recommend this vacation home to any of our friends. Fish, bike, enjoy the beach or travel into Charleston. Lots to do. We will likely be back soon! :-)

End of summer family vacation

The Sea Cloud house was a great place to stay. Hugh and Karin were top notch in getting in touch with us on the first day to make sure we had everything we needed. This was most of my family's first Edisto trip and they thought it was great. The house is a very short walk to the beach access and centrally located to the restaurants spread around the island. The house was very clean and well kept The common bedroom area upstairs was great to separate the kids from the adults. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it without hesitation.

Lovely, comfortable, great beach access

We've taken our extended family (children and grandchildren) to Edisto for several years now and rented multiple homes on the island. None were more convenient nor comfortable with such a great location as Sea Cloud. I especially enjoyed interacting with the owners from initial to final contact who made us feel like a welcomed part of the family. We plan to make this home part of future trips. Edisto Island is family friendly with lots of interesting outings for young and mature alike. We highly recommend this property for your vacation, you will not be disappointed!

A Perfect Beach House for a College-friends Reunion!

This house was absolutely perfect for 4 couples and one 4-month-old baby :) The home has 4 equally-sized bedrooms on the first floor, each with a queen-sized bed and its own sink! The beds were comfortable, and the open layout of the living room-dining room-kitchen meant we could all be together with baby Jackson and reflect on our 18+ years of friendship without feeling crowded or split up. Being 1 block from the beach and a 15-minute walk to Whaley's restaurant was nice too! Karin our host was so kind and easy to work with, and we will definitely consider renting this home again in the future!

Perfect for a family getaway to the beach!

This house was a great meeting space for two families to come together - 4 adults and 6 kids ranging from 1 to 15 stayed comfortably here for a week with plenty of space and all of the needed amenities. We loved the short easy walk to the beach and being able to come home for snacks and meals. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and bake all week. We appreciated the additional showers outside and the extra outdoor space - screened in porch on the back and chairs on the front porch to relax on too. Edisto Island has a beautiful slow pace to it and we couldn't have been more relaxed in our home for the week. We would love to come back to Sea Cloud again someday!

Sea Cloud Retreat

Very comfortable, well furnished home on a quiet street 1 block from beach access. Loved the back, screened in porch where we relaxed during the day with a good book from the in-house library, and played games after the little ones were in bed. Mostly pros, but a few cons. The refrigerator on the back porch, and the spring-worn couch. We would definitely, and happily, stay in this beach house again regardless of the few cons.

Thank you for your review. We replaced the 'spring-worn couch' ;) in early Nov! Come again and enjoy our new aqua leather sofa and loveseat. The new sofa has a recliner built in!

A great getaway

Wonderful location. Had cleaning and maintenance issues upon arriving, and owner took immediate attention with them. A tad disruptive for cleaning service to come in and reclean while we were there, but it was okay in the end. Just two suggestions: New furniture slip covers needed (grungy looking) and purchase of a regular coffee pot would be fantastic for use by big groups instead of Kuerig. Regular coffee pot was a bit odd to use (more like a slow pour over, instead of a one-pot type.) Would definitely book again.

Joan, Your comments are noted and correct. The re-cleaning was precipitated by having a large group of college students trick us into renting to them. Your check in and their check out was back to back. They caused damage and left the house in the worst condition we have ever experienced and they left 17 large garbage bags on the street. That group not only forfeited their security deposit but wrote an additional $250.00 check for damages.We bought a new drip style 12 cup coffee maker, the custom canvas slip covers -- necessary for a property that rents 120 nights (almost in a row) annually -- are removed, washed with bleach and replaced monthly. You were very pleasant about the rough check in and as you stated I drove down as soon as I was informed and worked on the off the track shower door, clogged drain upstairs and replaced the broken ceiling fan that week. We're sorry we did not earn your "5 stars", but give us the chance to do so on your next visit- Warm regards and very sincerely , Yours- Hugh Belser and Karin Gleaton

Family Birthday Weekend

It was a perfect Lowcountry weekend. My family is nature lovers. We loved the bird watching. The deer wandered thru the yard early evening and mornings. The house was very clean and the floor plan was ideal for us. Our favorite aspect was the front and back porches where we spent most of our time. There is no hairdryer. The kitchen's cookware needs an upgrade. Teflon pots are flaking. Dish soap, garbage bags, baggies, paper towels, toilet paper are not provided.
