Nothing about this “apartment”* looks or feels like you’re in an apartment. With windows everywhere, this space is filled with beautiful light all throughout the day. Open floor plan and 8 foot ceilings give this space a spacious, yet super cozy feel. The full length windows in the bedroom will make you feel as if you are sleeping in a tree house, the extension of which is the best room in the house...the deck. Gazing at the mountain view will bring an immediate sense of relaxation. Get ready to experience a new definition of mountain retreat!

EZ access to all-3 minutes from the Tallula River, 8 from Lake Burton and 12 from Clayton, and yet The Maia Magical Mountain feels like a remote mountain retreat. Brand new, stylish AND cozy, enjoy the view with a cup of coffee or glass of wine after a day of hiking. Quiet surrounds you - nothing short of magical.
* This apartment is the lower part of a house. There is no shared space (driveway, entrance, space, porch all completely private and separate from main house). Owners may occupy main house infrequently.

PLEASE NOTE PRIOR TO BOOKING: The bathroom is an ensuite to the bedroom and can only be accessed by going through the bedroom and may not be appropriate for 2 couples.

This home was beautiful and had all the conveniences to make the stay memorable. The kitchen is very well equipped and the whole house was so comfortable. Everything from the A/C to the TV worked perfectly. The views of the mountains in the distance and a lovely porch to sit on and swing were the highlights. Such gracious hosts from a welcoming card on the table to little messages about tips to make our stay even more enjoyable, one of the best places we have stayed. thank You.

We love hosting and are always thrilled when guests enjoy our space like we do! We've even had a few trees cleared so the view is even MORE spectacular!

This is a perfect place for a solo traveler like me or a couple. What an amazing view and very peaceful. Love the bedroom and the fact you can lay there & see the stars & fireflies at night. Very grateful for the sweet note & little pot of flowers when I arrived on Friday night. This will be my go-to property when I return to visit friends and family in the area again.

We are always thrilled when our guests are able to enjoy and soak in the peace and quiet we love when we are there - also have to agree, the floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedroom are divine. So happy this experience was great and are always so honored to have return stays!

Outstanding experience all the way around! The house is beautiful with a gorgeous view. Everything you need is provided. The communication with the host was excellent at all times. We had a wonderful weekend and look forward to coming back...maybe to see snow this winter! Thank you for a great get-away weekend!

This cabin is amazing. Everything was better than described. We just got home and wish we were still there. The hosts communication was always quick and easy. The cabin has everything you need. We were worried about not having curtains but waking up to the beautiful sunrise made it worth it. Even slept till 11 New Year's Day. The electric fireplace, BBQ grill, and kitchen were all perfect to add to the experience. We loved the comfy, warm bed and enjoyed the hammock chairs on the deck. I can't say enough about this place and definitely recommend it to couples looking for a getaway.

The house was clean and check-in was simple. The kitchen had what we needed for prepping food and eating what food we brought with us. The view is absolutely gorgeous (and I assume it is that way through all seasons). You can see multiple mountain vistas for many miles. The setting is quiet and peaceful. We had rain nearly every day that we were there, so we didn’t spend as much time sitting outdoors.My only negatives are that the bed was not as firm as I would like (it is a foam mattress for those who like the softer feel). A grab bar for getting out of the shower would be helpful to those who have some mobility issues (as I do). Also, having something to hold onto when going in and out of the side entry would make it safer (the one stepping stone was a bit loose). The couch is a bit soggy, making it difficult to get out of, which seems to be typical for couches that have a bed in them.

We can confirm the view is certainly beautiful in all seasons (we've also just cleared a few trees so it is even MORE spectacular!). Unfortunately, this space is not designed (nor advertised or shown in pictures) to accommodate guests with mobility issues. We always encourage guests with special needs to find a listing that better suits their requirements.
