Welcome to Elk Ridge at Thunder Bay Golf Resort. Situated between the 2nd and 8th fairway with a tranquil setting to relax and unwind. Cozy up the gas fireplace and unwind after a day of activity in the 7 person hot tub off the patio. On property you will find an 18 hole course, The Clubhouse Grill offering breakfast, lunch and dinner with full bar service. Unique to the resort is an on-site Elk Preserve offering horse drawn carriage rides that conclude with a 5 course gourmet dinner.

A unique cozy Chalet situated on the signature 18 hole Thunder Bay Resort course. The home offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths with gas fireplace, 7 person hot tub, newly refurbished with new flooring, furnishings and appliances. Sleeps 10 people.
Want to spend a day on the lake? This chalet offers guests the ability to rent a 20' Avalon Pontoon Boat for the day on Long Lake (10 minutes from chalet). Spend a day on the water with a small island you can anchor and enjoy the sandy bottom shallow area for swimming. Inquire for boat pricing.

The main living room offers a 55' Samsung 4K TV with YouTube TV with numerous preloaded steaming apps. Internet speed is 348 mbs. Splitrock gas fireplace with views overlooking the main deck and course beyond. Sofa has a queen size sofa sleeper. The main deck offers two chaise loungers, gas grill and table seating for 6ppl. Additional Adirondack seating for six on lower level with table and chairs adjacent to hot tub. Home is perfect for golf groups with bedding to accommodate up to 6ppl in own bedding. (3 Queen Beds, 1 Queen pull out, 2 twin beds)
First floor bedroom has Queen size bed and attached full bathroom with jacuzzi jetted tub and shower combination.
Second floor bedrooms:
Bedroom #1 - Queen size bed with sweeping views in a parklike setting with the course in the background. Large walk-in closets with trundle bed sofa with throw pillows that converts to two twin beds or one king size bed.
7 person outdoor jacuzzi situated off the large outdoor deck in a park like setting. The unit is situated on the end with only woods allowing for privacy.
Bedroom #2 - Queen size bed with windows looking onto fairway #4. Samsung 43' 4K TV.
Full bathroom with stand up shower situated between the two bedrooms.
Two skylights allow natural light in stairwell and bathroom.

Many ask, "I am bringing my family for a few days, what can we do?" Here is a sample schedule:
Day 1 - A trip to Mackinac Island for the day. Just 1 hour and 20 minutes to Mackinac City and a quick 20 minute boat ride to the Island. Island is accessible by boat April - October.
Day 2 - Venture to Alpena (20 minute drive) and experience the Glass Bottom Boat tour. Discover numerous shipwrecks on this 2 hour cruise. google: alpenashipwrecktours for more details.
Stop for lunch at Pompeyo's for Mexican cuisine just adjacent to the kid's water park situated on Lake Huron. Check out the shops in the quant town of Alpena.
Day 3 - A day on spring fed Long Lake. Just 10 minutes from the home you can rent a 20' Pontoon Boat with 60hp engine. Tour the lake and stop at the island to anchor and enjoy the sandy bottom/shallow area for swimming. The lake is great for fishing with a little bit of everything from Walleye, Perch, Pike and others. Inquire for day pricing.
Day 4 - Explore the west side of the state. Just a quick 1 hour and 20 minute drive to Petosky. The downtown area has wonderful selection of restaurants and shops. Not far from Petosky are the coastal cities of Harbor Springs, Charlevoix and Traverse City. All cities offer a unique shopping and dining experience with a picturesque backdrop of Lake Michigan.
Day 5 - Ocqueoc Falls, the largest waterfall in Michigan's Lower Peninsula, are just 40 minutes away and offers 6 miles of hiking and biking trails and 3 miles of groomed trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.

Some local dining favorites include Chauncey's in Downtown Hillman for some of the best pizza in Northern Michigan. Head to Van Pammels for a great breakfast - you will not leave hungry! Another favorite is the Elbo Inn in Atlanta with an expansive menu with many local favorites for lunch and dinner.
