Such a great apartment! Perfect size for 2 couples and the location was excellent. I’d highly recommend staying here- we’ll definitely stay again when we return to Chicago!

The apartment is in an area that felt very safe and is walkable to a Whole Foods, Target, shopping and many restaurants. It was a few blocks away from the bus stops and subway station. The apartment itself is nice, clean and quiet. The only complaint has to do with the bedrooms. There’s not any dressers or shelves. So if you want to settle in and not live out of your suitcase, select a different location. The queen bed is too big for the second bedroom so you can’t even use the closet. The doors to the closet hit the bed and don’t open enough to access anything inside. We managed to stuff all the extra fluff pillows into the closet so there was a little floor space to put a suitcase. This could so easily be rectified by putting bifold doors on the closet and putting a little dresser or shelving unit in each bedroom.

We were very happy with our stay. The place was clean and fully stocked. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of pillows and blankets. The sleep mat was also very comfortable. My family also utilized the study area and gym on the first floor. The train was only about a 5-minute walk away which was very convenient. And we had a car for part of our stay and was able to find street parking and also used Spot Hero.

Everything about this property was exactly as described or even better! Very clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Easy to access the property and clear instructions on how to do prior to arrival. Great great location!!! Easy walking distance to so many things. Will definitely stay there again!

Host was very responsive on line. Apartment was very clean and great view from the 6th floor. Quiet at night. Workout room wonderful. Community and workspace worked great.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean and had a well-stocked kitchen. The building contains plenty of amenities, including a park-like courtyard that made our dog walks a breeze. (There is a pet deposit on top of the general deposit, but both were refunded without a problem.) We appreciated the location, which is a section of Lincoln Park we weren't familiar with but has a great selection of stores and restaurants within a short walk from the front door. Free street parking is available around the apartment, but the spots were hard to come by, so the parking garage adjacent to the building came in handy. All in all, we were very happy with the whole experience.

Great location! Felt very safe. We were able to find free street parking each night. Very clean. Queen futon a little difficult to set up. No wash clothes in one of the bathrooms. It was strange that there was coffee and creamer on counter but no filters to be able to brew coffee. Needed to provide pic of ID and credit card in order to reserve which is not the norm from other VRBOs we have used. Overall a good stay and would recommend.

Communication with property manager prior to check in was good, although this is the only VRBO I’ve ever rented that requires a copy of driver’s license, etc. The property uses a phone based App called Door to access the property. They sent codes for the unit, the bicycle storage room, and the community room but failed to send codes to access the front door and the gym. It took almost 48 hours for them to send the front door code, but there was so much foot traffic we were always able to just follow someone else in. The bigger issue is that there was an electrical outage the morning after we arrived. There was a windstorm, so no fault of their’s. However, the power failure somehow knocked out the boilers that generate hot water. It took them 36 hours to restore hot water. To their credit, the management was very responsive via email. Unfortunately, they just kept telling me they thought it had been fixed. I asked repeatedly to be given access to an empty unit (numerous units listed as available for rental on their website ensure), but they refused. So I drive to Chicago on a Thursday night, worked out on Friday morning, and had no access to a shower until late Saturday night. No apologies. No discount. Nothing. But they all over making sure we vacated the unit on time Sunday morning (we had). I had an equally terrible experience seeking assistance directly from VRBO. Overall, orally the worst experience I’ve had after using VRBO for approximately 50 rentals over 20 yrs.

Our verification process is standard security protocol used by many professional property managers to protect both guests and properties – it's not unique to us. All door codes, including building access, were provided in your check-in instructions. Regarding the power outage, as you noted, this was caused by a severe windstorm and was completely outside our control. Our maintenance team worked continuously to restore hot water as quickly as possible during a building-wide issue affecting the boiler system. We responded to every inquiry promptly and provided updates as we received them from building management. We understand your frustration with the timing, but offering access to another unit during an active reservation is not feasible due to liability and guest privacy concerns. The issue was resolved within the industry-standard timeframe for emergency repairs involving building-wide systems. Our checkout policies are clearly stated and applied consistently to all guests. We maintain high standards for both our properties and our operations, as reflected in our many positive reviews over the years. We're sorry this experience didn't meet your expectations, but we stand behind how we managed an unavoidable emergency situation

We had a wonderful stay in this property - it was clean; the kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were comfortable and the views out the floor to ceiling windows were great! It was walkable to restaurants, shopping and beautiful Lincoln Park areas. Will definitely stay here again!
