We sincerely apologize for the unexpected issues you experienced during your stay Robert. We understand how frustrating it must have been to arrive and encounter problems with both the power and internet, and we regret that this affected your experience. The power issue was caused by a simple breaker trip related to the recent storms. Unfortunately, the breaker was located behind a locked door, which is why we needed to arrange access to restore the power. We worked as quickly as possible over the holiday weekend to get this resolved. The internet issue was separate. Xfinity was contacted and came out as soon as possible to address the internet line coming from the exterior of the property. We sincerely apologize that the connection was not restored during your stay. Unexpected mechanical and utility issues are unfortunately outside of our control, but we absolutely understand the inconvenience of being without internet and regret that the resolution took longer than anyone would have wanted. As a gesture of goodwill, we also refunded you for the nights you were without internet. We also apologize for any frustration surrounding communication and the pre-arrival verification process. Our intention is always to provide guests with the necessary information while maintaining the required security and property procedures. As for Fort Myers Beach, the island is still recovering from Hurricane Ian. While there are certainly areas that are still rebuilding, we are encouraged by how quickly the community is coming back, with more restaurants, shops, and activities opening and returning all the time. We hope future visitors will have the opportunity to experience the progress and revitalization taking place throughout the island. Again, we sincerely apologize for the unexpected issues during your stay. We worked as quickly as possible throughout the holiday weekend to address the problems, and we regret that these circumstances negatively impacted your vacation. We appreciate your feedback and hope the refund provided for the nights without internet demonstrates our sincere effort to make the situation right.
