The host, Ellen, was wonderful to work with. Very responsive and she clearly cared about our comfort during our stay. The home was charming, clean, and perfect! No problems at all - I highly recommend this beautiful home!

Excellent home, great lol cation, very welcoming to family gatherings and even to pets! I highly recommend visiting this VRBO if you are in Cedar Rapids with family or large groups!

We thoroughly enjoyed The Grand Rapidian. It is an elegant old home with modern amenities. The owner was helpful and answered all our questions. It's a great place to stay for a large group or a small one.

The property was clean. Everything was as it is stated in the listing. Nice walkable neighborhood. Host was very responsive to any questions. Had plenty of space for our large family. Loved the outdoor fenced in space.Only downfall is only I full bathroom. But we knew that going in. Would stay again if in the area and would recommend to anyone visiting Cedar Rapids.

The yard has a large privacy fence that is great for keeping pets corralled! The space is quite large with 4 bedrooms upstairs. The bed was comfy. The bathroom had everything I needed. There's noticeable road noise from 1st Avenue a block away when outside, but inside the house is super quiet. Communication with the host was great.

The house has wonderful potential, but it had a feel of being in the middle of a remodel. The host was very responsive and friendly. The laundry chute was jammed with towels from previous guests. We had to get towels out of the dryer in the basement. We had buy toilet paper.

It was such a treat to stay in this charming historic home. You feel transported back in time with the amazing architectural details but with all the modern amenities. It had everything to suit our family and dog- a 3rd floor rec room, bunk beds, a great fenced in yard, a dog bed, food/water bowels, plus a Harry Potter-style bathroom under the stairs! The host was very welcoming and gets 5 stars for efficient and warm communication. We left laundry in the dryer after we checked out and she offered to ship it or arranged for it to be picked. A true host!

Loved the charm of this old house. The host was fabulous to work with. I gave it three stars only because it is an old house which still is in the renovation stage and it still needs some work. It worked perfectly for our family. It is not appropriate for those who have trouble climbing stairs. I would give it 3 1/2 stars if allowed to do so.

This is a really cool house! Our hostess was excellent. Two reminders I would make to anyone considering this home, pay attention to the sleeping accommodations. It is set up better for families with young children than adults. I don't doubt it was clearly stated, I just didn't pay enough attention. We easily made it work for us (my kids are older). Second, it is pet friendly. Overall it was very clean, but in a pet friendly house, you will find pet hair. I would really rate it at 4.5 stars overall.

This historical house was just wonderful! We were going back and forth to the convention center throughout our stay and it was only about 5 minutes away, 10 with parking in the ramps. If we come back to the area, this will be my first choice for somewhere to stay... We really loved all the built ins and how the house had all the historical feeling with many modern conveniences.Thanks for a great stay!!
