The Space:
Red Hill House is a delightful country retreat set on nearly two acres of peaceful landscape. A wide, welcoming staircase leads to a covered front porch with classic white railings—an ideal spot to unwind while enjoying views of the expansive lawn and surrounding woods.
Inside, the main level presents a half bathroom, a bright, open-concept kitchen and dining area and an inviting living room. The fully equipped kitchen offers crisp white cabinetry, a central prep island, and warm wood floors while the sunlit dining table invites guests to gather around. Thoughtfully styled with vintage accents plus rich wood floors paired with leather armchairs, and a plush neutral-toned sofa arranged around a cozy fireplace, the living room reflects a timeless yet relaxed aesthetic—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
Upstairs are three bright and airy bedrooms, each with its own distinct character. The stylish master bedroom features a king-size bed, sectional sofa, two plush armchairs, and large windows that fill the space with natural light. The first guest bedroom offers a soft curated color palette with a queen size bed and a comfortable armchair while the second guest bedroom offers playful decor, a double size bed with a trundle twin bed, large windows and a laptop friendly workspace. A cozy hallway reading nook and a shared bathroom with a tub and shower combo complete the upper level.
The basement is a versatile space designed for relaxation, creativity, or staying active. Enjoy a flat-screen TV, a laptop-friendly workspace, a NordicTrack treadmill, exercise bench, weights, yoga mats, a Peloton bike, and a collection of musical instruments to inspire your downtime.
The covered back porch, complete with a BBQ grill and outdoor seating are ideal for al fresco meals or quiet moments in nature. Surrounded by towering trees, a manicured lawn, and a winding stone path, Red Hill House offers a tranquil, picture-perfect escape in every season.
The Neighborhood:
Explore the charm of the area surrounding Red Hill House with a few of our local favorites. Start your day with a fresh bagel from Grizzly Bagels—a local staple worth the wait. Just across the street, discover Sullivan Sundries, home to Bloom Coffee and Deli Cat, where you’ll find expertly brewed coffee and a thoughtfully curated market and deli. For book lovers, Ratty Books is a must—an inviting indie bookstore with plenty of character.
If you're in the mood for a sit-down meal, The Old Foundation offers a refined yet relaxed dining experience featuring locally inspired dishes. Craving something sweet? Just a short drive away, Myers Century Farm dishes out some of the best ice cream in the area.
To unwind, head to Seminary Hill for craft cider and sweeping Delaware River Valley views. For family fun, Buck Brook Alpacas is a charming stop. And vintage lovers will enjoy The Vintage House in Jeffersonville for unique finds and home décor.
Whether you’re here for a weekend or a while, these spots capture the spirit of the Catskills—laid-back, local, and full of character.
Getting Around:
Red Hill House is just over 2 hours from New York City. A car is essential for getting there and exploring the area. The main access routes are the NY-17 E, I-87 S and Palisades Interstate Pkwy S. We strongly recommend a 4x4 or a car with four-wheel drive, especially in winter, to handle snow and gravel roads.
Other Things to Note:
Guests are only to use the fireplace in the living room.
The washer and dryer are located in the basement. Please note that all other items in the basement which is primarily a storage area are off-limits.
