We rented the cottage separate from the main house since it was after Labor Day. However, it was not clear in the instructions we received prior to getting there that that meant we would not have direct beach access. The instructions we read when we got to the cottage, said that we would have to use the public beach access which was just down the road. We rented the cottage because it was beachfront. However we ended up not having direct beach access.

Its a great property for two people and we enjoyed our stayed for the most part. The shower was disgusting; shower with shoes on gross. They did promptly send cleaners, which was much appreciated but seeing how quickly the they were able to clean out the mold and grime, proved the shower wasnt even attempted to be cleaned during turnover. This had us questioning the cleanliness of the property over all.Also, the use of standard pillowcases on king pillows, without protectors is off putting as well. The kitchen also lacked a baking sheet, pot holders ,a cutting board and usable pots as they have heavily damaged Teflon.These are certainly minor disappointments and will likely stay again as its one of the only beach front properties for two people and we greatly appreciate that they allow pets!

This was the first time visiting Edisto. We have a daughter and her family that live in John's Island and we wanted to explore another area of SC before going to her house. I have to say that this little cottage is everything that you would ever need. It's clean, well equipped, spacious for a couple, in a quiet area and walking distance to the beach. We highly recommend this little gem!
