Disconnect from the world and reconnect with your family at this cabin nestled within the Shawnee National Forest.

There are 240 private acres to hike, fish, play or explore. There are also 33,000 acres of Shawnee National Forest surrounding our property for those looking to hunt! There is a creek that runs along next to the property that is available for swimming or drinking your morning coffee while listening to it trickle down over the rocks.

Not included in rate: there is a building right next to cabin. It is 1000 sq ft that includes a bathroom, kitchen and pool table. This building is great for entertaining or get togethers. Please message me if this something you would like access to for an extra fee.

For those looking to relax, explore or make memories with your family, this is the place to be.

Such a stunning property - beautiful views, freshly mowed trails, and a lovely creek! The house is great! Very spacious, clean, comfortable, and the host has everything you may have forgotten stocked! Could not be more pleased with this property. My dogs had a lovely time, too. So much to see and do! My first trip out of town since a major loss in my life, and this was just what I needed.

This is a beautiful place to relax and hangout, private and secluded. Owners were very responsive with questions l. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful place for spring break trip with three teens and a dog. Property is huge, with a beautiful large creek just a short hike down the hill, cow pastures, and a clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked house. Lexie does an amazing job caring for the home and their guests. We’ve been taking similar trips for spring breaks for 8 years and this is our favorite spot yet!

Gorgeous view from back patio of field bordered by a creek; extremely private and spectacular sunset! Cozy, warm, clean-had a fabulous family escape! Everything you need in the kitchen and lovely amenities! Book this place!!!

Was very pleased with everything. One note the entrance road is long and gravel that had been recently graded and was soft. We were in trucks so it was not a problem for us.

It was away from it all. We loved sitting on the porch. Our labs loved napping on the porch, and exploring and swimming in the creek. We loved it and would love to come back sometime. They provided everything you could possibly need and then some.

This is the place to be! Lexie was fantastic! She went above and beyond. We rented the house and side building for our son's rehearsal dinner. She helped to coordinate decorations and hair for the wedding. Very clean and peaceful. She had everything you might forget in the bathrooms. Excellent communication. If you are looking for something for a family event,etc. this is the place! They are also pet friendly. Thank you again for being the perfect host.

We love this place. It is so peaceful and relaxing. The phone works in spots if you need it. The dogs ran to exhaustion. The creek was up and the trees were beautiful. The house has everything you could need. I love the baskets in the bathroom (anything and everything) love them.

We are from Metropolis, IL. I originally grew up in Pope County. My husband is a school teacher at Massac County High School. I quit my job of 8 years to start cleaning up the farm. I love meeting new people and having people come enjoy the place is most dear to my heart.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

This patch of land is where my grandpa and great grandmother were both born. It has been in our family for many generations. In 1999, grandpa had this cabin put out here. This cabin is what we call his "happy place". Grandpa was always working or doing something, but out here, he was just happy and relaxed. This is where me and my siblings would spend our time during the summer. Grandpa passed away in February 2014. It has been very hard for any of us to come back here after he passed away. I'm ashamed that it has grown up this much, but we have been working diligently to get it back to what I would call "grandpas standards". I love this piece of land and I have created so many good memories back here. I am excited that we have opened it up for people to do the same.
