Cute place, easy walk to Derby Wharf and shops. We really appreciated the basket of umbrellas near the door when it got rainy - What a thoughtful detail to include! Super comfortable stay in a fun place with a Salem vibe.

This was a great find for a stay in Salem. Wonderful space for a group, especially with the kitchen! Very quiet neighborhood to get a little away from the crowds during the busy time but still an easy walk to all the main attractions.

The place was very clean you could smell Fabuloso when you walked in. Towels and sheets all smelled fresh. The apartment does not look the same as the pictures. It is old but neat. The location was walking distance from the attractions but the neighborhood is sketchy and we were four women walking the streets at night in fear. BUT for the price it is a FIND!

Loved the place, pretty close to everything, was able to walk around. Two TVs also so we were able to play games when it started snowing. The only thing that was a little difficult was finding the parking spot that was assigned to the place, but the owner was so helpful and once we found it, everything was perfect.

This is an older property in an older part of Salem. While far from the nicest listing, it gets the job done. The best part about this unit is its location. You can walk to Essex St. and the heart of Salem in less than 15 minutes. Not having to deal with parking downtown is a huge selling point.The main reason we gave this property only 3 stars is because this place needs some love. The main bathroom and kitchen appear to be recently remodeled and are mostly quite nice. However, the rest of the unit needs repair and attention. Some of the windows have broken locks, which is a safety concern being at street level. The wall in one of the bedrooms is only half painted. The towel rack in the bathroom is literally hanging off the wall. The water dispenser in the fridge is a mere trickle. The leather recliner in the living room barely works. There’s also a few “hidden” doors and spaces throughout that were covered up (such as a sealed-in door inside a closet…which is creepy). Despite the property needing some updating, the unit was very clean and neatly decorated with Halloween decor, which we appreciated. The beds were comfortable, too.Checking in was a bit chaotic. The parking situation is poorly communicated and we had to verify with the owner that we parked in the right spot. Next, finding the right door to get into the unit was difficult as it’s not explained well enough for weary travelers. Finally. the door to our actual unit was UNLOCKED when we arrived!

The property was just as listed. Has 3 bedrooms which worked out great since we had 2 friends joining us on our stay. Everyone had their own space to sleep and relax. Neighborhood was a little loud but was quiet by the time we wanted to go to sleep.

We loved this apartment. The building is older and it felt very fitting for a fall Salem trip. We didnt have to drive anywhere, literally everything we wanted to do was within a comfortable walking distance. As for the noise factor, it was as you would expect if you stay in a city. We didnt find it bothersome at all. We would definitely stay here again.

Host’s description of home and neighborhood is accurate and honest. Apartment is in a vibrant working class neighborhood, which is lively and occasionally loud until 10-11 pm. There are parks at either end of the street on which the apartment is located, and both are well-used. Overnight, it is quiet. The designated parking spot is close to the apartment and is definitely a plus. It is easy to walk to all the attractions in Salem from the home. We walked to and from downtown, took multiple tours, and explored on our own, and did not cover more than 6 miles on either of the days we were there.

Very clean and cute apartment. Halloween decor was cute and modern. Worked great for a group of 4 women. You really should Uber to and from downtown at night. But ubers only took 2 minutes to get to you and cost a very small amount. It was fine because after walking all day you want a rest! Daytime is ok to walk.
