Stay in a peaceful 2BR cottage tucked into the Belmont hills: a quiet Peninsula base for family visits, work trips, Stanford/Meta/Silicon Valley travel, coastal day trips, and major events at Levi's Stadium. The home sleeps up to 4 with two queen bedrooms, one full bath with tub/shower, a comfortable living room, dining area, Wi-Fi, AC/heat, washer/dryer, and a kitchen for simple meals.

Wake up to tree views, coffee on the deck, and easy access to the Bay Area without staying in downtown SF or San Jose. You're well positioned for SFO, San Mateo, Redwood City, Palo Alto, San Francisco, the coast, and Caltrain connections. For Levi's Stadium event days, Belmont works well as a quieter Peninsula home base with a route south through Mountain View and VTA.

Good to know: the cottage sits above street level and is reached by outdoor stairs, which is part of the treehouse feel. Best for guests comfortable with steps. One dog under 50 lb is welcome per house rules. No smoking or parties.

When the listing says lots of stairs, believe them. Once you get up to the unit it is quaint and quiet with a beautiful view. Had everything we needed.

Cute place in Belmont that had all of the amenities we needed while work was being done on our house. Location was perfect for us. Yes, there were a lot of stairs, but was fine for us. The upside is that the cottage is really quiet.

Overall 4/5 stars!!Pros: House was perfect for our stay, very comfortable beds and furniture. Kitchen had everything we could need and more! Cons: WiFi was occasionally spotty - only an issue bc my partner and I were working from home during the week. Also, feel the need to note that there are 65 steps to get up to the house and the path is not well lit in parts at night so travel carefully!

The house is very comfortable and very clean. It contains everything a traveler needs. We arrived at night and had difficulty to locate the place, as there are other residences on the same lot. The Tree House is at the very top, so requires walking up four flights of stairs (65 steps in all), which we did not realize when we first arrived. But it is unique and a fun place to stay, in a nice area. We saw deer around the property three times during our short stay. Still, stores, restaurants and businesses are conveniently close, many less than a mile away.

-- Huge closets with hangers in both bedrooms - rare abundance of hanging space!-- NORMAL shower - it's becoming increasingly harder to find such a shower - with a curtain or a complete glass door (so I don't have to clean up the flood from those "fancy" showers where a narrow piece of glass allows water to spill on the floor). -- Owners immediately responded to find a solution to a minor issue.-- Quiet and peaceful location.-- Reasonable distance from trails in redwoods.-- It felt warm and welcoming to find all the supplies, condiments, and even some snack.-- Beautiful view from the hill (living room) pretty views of trees from master bedroom. We saw deer multiple times on these streets on the hill while approaching the house. The only potential issue for some people could be climbing stairs from the street to the house with luggage - and be sure to go past the first house - the stairs continue to the actual "tree house".

We arrived very late and so the keyless entry was convenient. It took us a few minutes to figure out the entrance, but the photo was helpful. After the 1st set of stairs, the unit is tucked around the right side of the front houseand -all the way up numerous stairs. It was not an issue for us, but it's worth noting that you will get your steps in. The space was tidy, with a practical layout, pretty view, and easy drive to Stanford. I wish we would've had more time to hang out, and would absolutely stay here again. Lastly, we didn't need our host, but the communication with them prior to our visit was quick & easy.
