Myrtle Cottage is a private guesthouse on 40 acres featuring lovely gardens, abound with local trees such as Live Oaks, Magnolia's, Pines and vintage Beech Trees and a fishing pond with Pirch and Bass. Wooded trails lead to the bluffs giving access to a picturesque white sandy beach on the Little Tchefuncte River. A paradise for bird watchers and enthusiasts of local wild life.
Minutes away from the Town of Folsom (supermarket, coffee shop, pharmacy, cafe's), Covington, Hammond, Ponchatoula and Abita Springs. One hour to New Orleans.

What a hidden gem.. this place is quiet and so beautiful. Very clean and well maintained. The hostesses of this property were absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend staying here!!!

Thank you Bobbie for the amazing hospitality. She pointed us in the right direction for great food around the area, had some really good treats for us, and gave us a quick history lesson. The house was perfectly clean and we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely and comfortable

This was a lovely Homeaway from home. Our hostess was very gracious and made us feel welcome in this beautiful park like setting. It was a wonderful base for our visit with family in the area and exploration.

Excellent Place to stay

The house is amazing, very clean and furniture is top notch. Was a very cold night (20s F) but there was plenty of heat and the house was very comfortable. My family had a great stay and we will be staying here again.

Great Property

We had a great time at this property while in the area for a wedding. Very nice, clean, spacious, and quiet property. Fishing in the pond and nearby river was a nice addition.
