Newly constructed log sided cabin with all new appliances and furnishings. Private dock on Lake Algonquin and a three minute walk to the Town Beach .( we‘ll even provide a wagon to transport the kids and toys down to the beach). One mile from the boat launch.

One bathroom with tub and shower and washer/dryer. Fully furnished modern kitchen with stainless electric stove, microwave and refrigerator. Living room with 32' flat screen TV with built in DVD player, Dish Network, WiFi and furnished with unique Adirondack style furniture.

A full size screened in porch is perfect for reading, relaxing (or maybe napping) in the afternoon or a peaceful dinner in the evening. The kids will probably want to sleep out there so don't forget the air mattress and sleeping bags.

Take a short walk to Torts Ice Cream Shop or the Community Hall for tennis, pickle ball, basketball or the playground. Enjoy dinner at the Alpine Restaurant just a few miles south of town.

We are located about a 1 hour scenic drive to Lake George and The Great Escape Theme Park and the Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake so you can take a day trip and still return to the peace and quiet of your cabin in the woods.

We provide an ideal cabin for the family that wants to experience an Adirondack vacation in the woods with the convenience of nearby lake access, hiking, boating or just exploring. An experience that will keep you coming back year after year.

Great stay!

The cabin has the essentials and is tucked up the hill in a quiet spot. We stayed in Cabin A this time and have been in B prior. Cabin B definitely has a little bit more of a "private" feel as it's at the end of the lane but A is still a great spot. Gerry gave us a call shortly after we arrived to make sure we were settled and knew how to reach him. He also gave info on where to go and things to do which is always appreciated. He warned us that his dog might wander past for a visit and I'm a little sad I didn't get a chance to say hello :) It was cold so we didn't get a chance to get out on the lake but hiking was fabulous! We will be back again!

Great cabin with all the amenities.

Gerry is the best host I’ve ever met on VRBO. He is gracious and goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. Checked in with us to make sure everything was ok. The cabin is gorgeous and has a beach nearby along with a canoe and kayaks to use on the lake . Had the best time in Wells and will def be back. This was our second time coming here and you couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

Girls weekend

We had a great time. Scenery was beautiful. The cabin was kind of small for the 3 of us. But, it was nice.

Not as advertised

Cabin was very nice & well equipped. However, the cabin was NOT waterfront. You could not even see the lake from the cabin. The bank down to the lake was very steep which made it difficult to get into-out of canoe/kayak. It was listed as waterfront but was not.

Weekend Getaway

We had a great time during our stay. The cabin was everything we were looking for. We enjoyed sitting around the fire and relaxing. The cabin was clean and supplied with everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay again!

Convenient stay in a cozy cabin

What a cute and well maintained cabin! The living room turned out to be a little smaller than we pictured, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise because then we spent less time watching TV and more time in the screened porch playing cards and talking. We also loved the convenience of the home between both stores and short walk to the dock and kayaks.

Ruby Hill Camp

My wife and I had a lovely weeklong stay at Ruby Hill. The cabin was well-appointed, clean, and cozy, and our host Gerry was welcoming and gracious. There are days of great hikes to do nearby, as well as kayaks to explore the lake. It is south of Adirondack park, but being a little away from the tourist stuff was exactly what I was looking for! Visitors should be aware that there is no wifi at the camp, which for us was actually nice, but could prove tricky for people hoping to work remotely or further plan their travels using the internet. We hope we have a chance to return!

Quick get away.

Our family wanted to get away from our normal, busy routine, before our daughter headed off to college. We all had a great time. The cabin is lovely. Gerry & Susan are kind and attentive. The bonus of having the canoes and kayaks available to guests added to our stay.

Great Adirondack Cabin

Great cabin location in Wells- close to lots of trails/ waterfalls, public lake beach, and private dock with kayaks. Loved building campfires, playing games on the the screened in porch, and getting outside. Just enough space for a family of 4, and perfect setting. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Birthday/anniversary getaway

Our family of four had a wonderful long weekend stay! The cabin was perfect for our family and we enjoyed the canoe/kayaks provided. Nice little walk to little local beach. The front porch is great even if weather isn't cooperative. We celebrated 2 birthdays a d our anniversary on this trip. We are already looking to see when we can go back and maybe rent both cabins with some friends!

Beautiful Location and Relaxing Stay

Great weekend getaway spot

This was my second stay at this cabin. It was the perfect spot to enjoy the Adirondacks and be near water. My nephew found terrific fishing spots all around the area including right off the dock we were able to use. A canoe and kayaks were available to explore water and scenery. The firepit at night was wonderful and peaceful. Close to anything we wanted to go to but felt secluded in the woods. Also close to any number of hiking trails. Loved hiking Auger Falls for incredible scenery with little effort. I'm sure I'll be back again!

Enjoyable getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful, well maintained and stocked cabin. The woodwork was magnificent and everything was comfortable. We loved enjoying our morning coffee on the screened in porch, took nice walks and saw so many bodies of water. About an hour to Lake George one day....The manager came to greet us on the first day and lived close in case we needed anything which we really didnt.....We make our own fun and nice place to do it.....Thanks

Peaceful Retreat

New build cabin was very nice and cozy. We were there in early December for a chance to get away from busy times. With no agenda other than Reading, Puzzles and comfort food. Lovely modern kitchen , well appointed furnishings and tons of cozy blankets were just the ticket. The cabin was well constructed with an efficient heating system ,double hung insultated windows and ceiling fans to keep the warm air circulating. All the house lights were on dimmers to save energy and accommodate both task and relaxing and there was plenty of hot water. All in all a very nice property. Thing is , with temps in the teens and 20s we really didnt even get to enjoy the outside area! With its twin cabin next door a large yard , beautiful lake and forest views and a ton of Adirondack chairs waiting under the fully screened porch I can just imagine a gathering of multiple families on a gorgeous summer or fall evening fully enjoying the well constructed fire pit and all the memories that go with that. Served our needs well for our little get away and the potential for so much more is right there. Thank you, Gerry and Susan!
