Coco Flotante is a 4BR, 4BA beachfront villa with sweeping ocean views from every room. Two master suites on the main level open to a lush garden, outdoor dining area, and infinity pool. Upstairs includes a queen bedroom and a twin room sharing a full bath. Playa Blanca is steps away, Playa Junquillal just minutes. Perfect for groups of 8–12, with on-site caretakers, private access to two beaches, and stunning sunsets from the open-air bar and lounge.

We offer full guest privacy, but are always nearby and available by phone or message if you need anything during your stay. We're happy to offer local tips and recommendations if desired.

Located in quiet and authentic Playa Junquillal, just over an hour from Liberia Airport and 45 minutes from Tamarindo. You’ll have direct access to Playa Blanca and Playa Junquillal, world-class surf at Playa Negra, and the Turtle Sanctuary nearby. Explore local dining, hiking, national parks, snorkeling, and surf schools. No crowds—just nature, beaches, and pura vida at its best.

Coco Flotante sleeps 8–10 comfortably, 12 if there are kids in the group. The first floor includes two king master suites with en suite bathrooms, open-plan kitchen, living area, laundry, and access to the garden patio. Upstairs has a queen bedroom with ocean views, a twin bedroom, and a shared double-vanity bathroom. Enjoy the infinity pool, rancho, outdoor dining, hammocks, and shaded seating. All just steps from the sand and surf.



Our on-site caretakers, Gama and Irene (Spanish-speaking only), take care of the property and provide daily cleaning and maintenance to ensure you have a seamless stay.

We had a wonderful week stay! We are not new to staying in the area but this was the first (but not last) at this property. The breeze, direct beach access, cleanliness, sunsets, birds, monkeys, and amazing food made this trip fantastic.

Coco Flotante is a little paradise - lost in sunshine, warm ocean waves and tropical nature surrounding! Even that we stayed at the beginning of rain season (mid June) - our vacation was perfect! We enjoyed the beach right at the bottom of steps every day, and watching storms over the ocean at night. The house had everything you would need - great pool, covered patio for relaxation, fully stuffed kitchen, comfortable beds, AC in every room, except bathrooms on the first floor, but it wasn’t an issue. The second floor bathroom has AC. Stunning views from all the windows, and amazing sunsets!Would be an ideal choice for families that like nature (we saw monkeys and iguanas on the property), but also - in a very close driving distance to local restaurants, fruit markets and grocery. Rental car is a must. Google Maps and cell coverage works great everywhere. Only 40-50 min drive to Tamarindo - a resort town. Caretakers are right there at the property, Gama and Maria , wonderful and hard working, anticipating all your needs. We definitely plan to come back!

This house has an amazing view and access to the beach. The house is large and has four bedrooms and will support large groups. There is plenty of room to spread out and have privacy and yet enjoy the company of the others on your trip. The caretakers do a great job and the house is very clean.

Fantastic vacation spot

Coco Flotante was the perfect spot for our extended family (3 kids (age 13, 10, 8), 2 parents and 4 grandparents). We have no complaints and would pick here again in a second.

Stunning location

What a special location! The property sits at the edge of a small cliff with a short set of stairs leading right to the beach. The view is pure idyllic Pacific surf, some of the best sunsets ever!

Great location

A truly lovely house with lots of charm – even if it's starting to show a bit of age. That said, the location on a hill is absolutely fantastic, offering stunning sunsets every evening. The pool was also a real highlight and made our stay even more enjoyable. The house was very clean and tastefully furnished. Thank you for letting us spend time here – we felt very comfortable and had a wonderful stay!

Perfect getaway for your family

Plenty of room to lounge, relax, and spread out. The pool was the perfect temperature, and very clean. We enjoyed the large kitchen and fridge space as well. Just steps to the beach, truly an oasis.

Beautiful Private Getaway

The setting was wonderful, the views were amazing, the house was very private and accommodating for all our needs. The pictures cannot even show how beautiful and authentic this place is with its spanish tiles, private beach setting, areas to relax. This home was great for couples to share or a big family.

Nice, even in the rainy season.

Private and discreet, with conscientious caretaker and housekeeper. Best enjoyed by those under 75 years of age. Teens and kids loved it. Very close to good beaches and restaurants.

Nice place

Gorgeous views and sunset. Enjoyed meeting Gama, his wife, and the house pup. Lots of fridge and freezer space, would recommend having groceries delivered before your stay and/or transportation for meals/snacks/food.

The location has an amazing view. Gorgeous sun rise and sun sets each night. peaceful, and away from the noise and hustle and bustle. Enjoyed the pool and it's view. Enjoyed the native plants on the property. Loved the beach access for exploration and some snorkeling.

The view is beautiful. The sunsets are spectacular. The internet works well. 2 of us had to use it to work from vacation. Beds are comfortable. The caretakers are very nice and keep everything in working order. They respond immediately to any problem or question as does the management company. The pool is great and this is the very first time that a house description was accurate and we really did have an infinity pool. They mention a dog living on the property. I am not a dog person and worried about this, but this dog is so quiet and docile that we all grew to love him. The website also mentions the steep steps to the beach. Believe them. The steps are steep, but my husband is 80 and I am 79 and we had no issues using them. Restaurants and groceries are close. And lastly, the Costa Rican people are friendly and kind. We felt welcomed and safe every where we traveled and we did travel from see the sights.

Pictures don’t do justice

Its a beautiful place right on the water. Kitchen was fully stocked and the rooms were great. The caretaker and his wife were extremely helpful and wonderful. The house dog Duque came on walks with us to the beach and we really enjoyed having him around. So well behaved and sweet. We will come back!

Perfect Spot

If you want the perfect blend of family-friendly spacious house, pool, and ocean with playable beach...this is the place for you. It was more than sufficient for our group of 10, including 6 kids. Property manager was easy to communicate with, and even a minor plumbing issue was addressed quickly. Wish we were still there.

Beautiful Beachfront House

The house itself is wonderful with swimming pool, large kitchen, lots of outdoor seating under the covered patio and private bedrooms with comfortable beds. The pictures honestly don't do it justice. The location is also fantastic. Great views and just down the stairs is a beautiful beach, Playa Blanca. At low tide the snorkeling is surprisingly good and at higher tide we were also able to boogie board. We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend it.

Breath-taking

This was our first trip to Costa Rica . Renting a car was the best for this location! The house was a perfect set-up for families and groups travelling together. The rooms arranged so you have privacy. The upstairs was perfect for a family -with children. Two bedrooms — one large bathroom .

Absolutely amazing!

The view! The hospitality! The character! This place has it all. We loved our stay here, complete with howler monkey sightings and beach fun. Note that the stairs to the beach are steep so those with mobility challenges may need to find another route. I can’t recommend staying here enough…you won’t regret it.
