Great little cottage right on Long Lake. Cozy, comfortable, and a beautiful setting, especially in the fall. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

This was the perfect place for a couples getaway. My wife and I came here for our mini-honeymoon. The cottage was gorgeous and clean, and the backyard with the view of the lake was stunningly beautiful. It was the perfect home base to relax at after spending the day in Traverse City. The hosts were also incredibly kind and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely come back for another visit!

Thank you, Lakestone Cottage is one of the original cottages and was built in 1936. We’ve modernized it, but tried to keep the historical charm. Long Lake is amazing, and the home to nesting loons. We’re so happy you stayed with us, and you’re welcome back anytime! 🍒

We loved our stay here. The cottage is very charming and cozy. The view is beautiful! everything was thoughtfully laid out and put together. Very clean and it seemed all of our needs were anticipated!

We really enjoyed our stay! Communication with the hosts was easy and checkin/out instructions were clear and very reasonable. The cottage was clean, cozy, and stocked with toiletries. We also appreciated the thoughtful basket of dog supplies that made our dog seem welcome. It rained during most of our stay so we sadly didn't get to enjoy any of the outdoor activities, but we did get to watch a beautiful sunrise over the lake from the living room on our last morning. If we're ever back in the area we would absolutely consider staying here again!

Truly fantastic hosts, very responsive. Very sweet, providing extra local goodies to eat or take home. Accommodating and anticipating needs every stop of the way. Well stocked and the property itself is Beautiful and has great accommodations. Clean and as described! The stars are amazing at night.

WOW!! What a joy to spend our vacation time at the stone cottage!! We were pleasantly surprised to have everything provided as if the owners lived there. Plenty of cookware, laundry and kitchen supplies, comfortable beds with quality linens, super clean and generous furnishings to name a few amenities. The lake is clean and the dock allowed us to keep our boat at the cottage. This listing exceeded our expectations and we plan to come back!! Thank you for making our stay amazing.

It’s been several years since we last rented this property and the new owners knock it out of the park! Pet friendly is an understatement - basket of helpful items for your dog during the stay like things to lie down on is appreciated. There is even a basket for the human guests should they forget/need common toiletries. And a well stocked Keurig for morning coffee or tea.Cottage is clean and comfortable with modern bedroom furniture- nightstands with usb and standard outlets are great. Nice patio and grill for you to enjoy. Fire pit is impressive and great view of lake. Owners were great to deal with (no issues, just making sure we didn’t need anything) and helpful. Close to all our hangouts when on Long Lake - Glen Arbor, Fishtown, Sutton Bay, TC, Moomers. My wife, our twin daughters, and our golden retriever had an awesome time. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Lakeside Cottage to check out the area. From the moment I stepped through the front door, the cottage reminded me of a lake cottage I used to stay in as a kid during our summer trips to Wisconsin. It is so quaint and cozy with amazing views of the lake. The hosts are wonderful, the amenities terrific and I would highly recommend this property if you are touring the area. There are so many things to do within a short drive and lovely to come home to such a cute house after our day's adventure was done.

Felt at home during our stay

We enjoyed the view of the lake and perfect for sunset viewing. Yard is large enough for bonfire and corn hole. Great place to stay!

Adorable cottage and great location!

The cottage was very clean and was a perfect getaway for my wife and me. Perfectly located between TC and Leelanau. And the lake setting and nice dock are an added bonus.

Great Lake Place

This was a great place to get away and recharge. Lake is amazing and close to Traverse City and other great hiking adventures.
