The host was welcoming, accommodating and always helpful. We had a few issues with the space, but they were addressed immediately and all was made right

The location of this property is in a very nice neighborhood but….. the property overall was a complete letdown whether you were inside the house or outside in the yard. The backyard had a man made pond that hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The water was black and murky and had a serious mosquito infestation. Our family booked this property to swim and to do other outdoor activities, but we were all eaten alive by mosquitoes so our plans changed. The fence around the back yard is also leaning and missing boards in some areas. The inside of the house is very outdated and poorly kept. HVAC interior filter housings were very dirty. Windows are foggy and in need of replacing. Window screens have holes in them. Some of the light fixtures did not work. The light switches in many areas of the house were very dirty. End table in the living room had glass rings still on it where prior guests had put their drinks. The master bedroom bathtub had insects in it. There were also electrical wires on the wall exposed where an old air conditioning thermostat once was. We reached out to the host about what we were seeing and he did offer to have someone from their team drop by and fix, but there was no fixing what we saw. Overall I would say the host was very nice, but there was no offer on his part to discount our stay. This is just another investment property used by the buyer to make money while putting minimal money back into the property. Way overpriced.. would not recommend.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear the home did not meet your expectations. I do want to clarify a few points for future guests. The decorative pond referenced in the review has been decommissioned and is no longer in use. Prior to this stay it had been drained, but heavy rain during the vacancy allowed water to accumulate, which unfortunately contributed to increased mosquito activity. We have regular mosquito treatments and took additional steps to address the issue as soon as it was brought to our attention. During the stay, I immediately offered to send my team to address the concerns, including replacing the light bulbs, additional cleaning, and inspecting the pond area. I also offered the guest a full refund for the remaining unused nights if they chose to check out early. They ultimately decided to continue their stay. We take pride in maintaining our home and continually invest in updates and maintenance. The vast majority of our guests have had wonderful experiences, including the guests immediately before this stay who left a 5-star review. We appreciate all feedback and use it to continue improving the property for future guests.
