This 3 bedroom, 2 bath duplex is located on Henderson Street and is walking distance to Johnny Mercer pier, shopping, restaurants, and more. Enter the property and find yourself in the middle of it all. The open floor plan offers easy access from the living area, to dining area, kitchen and ocean side deck and makes family entertainment a breeze. The kitchen is fully equipped with top of the line stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and an island sink. The dining area offers seating for 6 and is surrounded by windows, allowing lots of sunshine to come through. The living area provides a very comfortable place for family and friends to gather. It features overstuffed furniture, flat screen TV, surround sound, and stereo. Step down the hall and find 2 guest bedrooms with a shared bath and a primary bedroom with a king size bed. And last but not least, enjoy the cool ocean breezes and watch the "loopers" go by on the Oceanside deck. Your family is sure to finds its vacation treasure at Beachcomber!

Awesome beach getaway

Amazing location and a beautiful open floor plan made this a perfect spot for a long weekend away with our young kids. Easy walk to the beach, close to restaurants, and great amenities. Would absolutely stay here again.

November Break

Property was lovely, great location, kitchen well stocked. We had a great time. The only small issue we had was that we had to clean off all the outside furniture before we used it as it was very dirty. Other than that, property was perfect.

Beach side

Nice property Close to the oceanfront and Mercers Pier. We enjoyed our family time there. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishes etc to cook with. Outside lights did not work that weekend which was not great but it may have been because of a storm that passed through the week before. We shared with the real estate company that listed the house

Great Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit is located very centrally. East walk to pier, grocery, beach and restaurants. It does need a deep clean however. The master shower was quite moldy. The kitchen is well stocked but most cookware needs to be replaced. I would stay here again if those areas were addressed.

Long weekend

Loved our quick long weekend. The beach is very busy, the weather and water were perfect! The pictures are very accurate! Loved having the 2 car garage! Big plus! Definitely bring beach chairs. Easy walk to the beach. The porch was very enjoyable. Our family was very comfortable. Working with Wrightsville Sands Realty staff, was great, they are very professional and wanted to make sure we had everything for our trip.

Beautiful location, poorly maintained, not well managed

Beautiful location steps from the beach. The property looks good in the pics, but very poorly or not at all maintained. Dryer doesn’t work, multiple outlets don’t work in kitchen and dining area, coffee pot should be trashed, toaster oven doesn’t work, pots and pans should be trashed, land line phone doesn’t charge so is useless. Property management said they’d fix the dryer, lied and unresponsive. For what you have to pay to stay here, it’s not worth it.

Beautiful home, great location, too many extra expenses.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home but not enough for the price. If you want towel and sheets you need to pay an extra price and you need to make up your beds and tear them down after you're finished. We did not like this and how we didn't have any extra like... soaps, q-tips etc. things you always get. We come on vaca to get away from the work of everyday life. Paying extra for towels and sheets is absolutely ridiculous. We would love to stay here again but these things would need to change.

Great location, property needs some work.

This is a review for the second floor unit. Pros: Great location with easy walk to the beach. Unit was generally clean and spacious. Check in/out process was easy, with good instructions. Parking also a plus and the exterior of the property is very nice. Cons: The property needs maintenance. There was significant mold in the main bathroom shower ceiling and grout. Mold was also noted in the 1/2 bathroom. The door knobs/locks on the doors are worn and difficult to maneuver. The fan control in one bedroom is clearly broken. Patio furniture very worn and not maintained (didn’t use due to this). Kitchen materials (pot/pans, etc.) also rather worn. Bedroom pillows need replacing. We have stayed in several 4 to 5 star vrbos previously and this was unfortunately not that. Some of these concerns I noticed were also mentioned in previous reports. I hope they are rectified for future renters.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental is in a great location. It is nice.The closets need to be purged of old lamps, bedding etc in order for the guests to have a place to hang their clothing. The closets were unusable! Not much drawer storage space in the bedrooms either. The bottom rack in the dishwasher needs to be repaired or replaced.The handle on the faucet in the secondary bathroom kept falling off.The WIFI was slow and unsecured-would be nice if upgraded. The dryer quit working on the third day of our 7 day stay. It was reported and someone from the Mgmt office came out but it was never repaired during our stay. Having wet beach towels and other unwashed clothes-due to not being able to dry them-for most of the week was unpleasant.

Family Vacation 2021

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at the Beachcomber was great. The house is beautiful. We had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the porch. The breeze was great. Short walk to the beach and the bicycles were a big plus. We had planned to rent some when we arrived. We only encountered a few issues. #1 If you have kids, bring an extra sheet or two to cover the WHITE furniture in the living room. It is lovely but hard to keep clean with a 2 year old. #2 there were some issues with some breakers turning off. We had to call about the outdoor lights not working and the outlets in the bathroom and kitchen. They came right over and flipped the breakers. Might just want to be sure not to plug in too many things at one time. #3 the tile in the master bath could use a good scrubbing but that is a minor OCD issue of mine. Other than those small things, it was absolutely perfect for our family of 7. Will absolutely stay here again.

One of those places

Seems that VRBO properties fall into two groups. One where the owners seem concerned about a positive guest experience and convenience. The other where it's about cutting cost and providing the bare essentials. Unfortunately this place falls into the latter. As far as the house itself goes, no real problems. Basically as advertised, could be a little cleaner (e.g. mold in the caulk in the shower, crumbs in cracks), more spruced up (e.g. chipped paint, doors that are difficult to lock, most kitchen items 2nd hand) but overall nothing you can't have a good stay in. My biggest gripe is the check-in process, linens, and necessities. Would it really cost that much more to have the beds already made (particularly when you're already charging extra for them)? Who wants to spend their vacation unpacking wrapped linens and making their bed first thing? Would it really cost that much more to leave more than a few trash bags and dishwasher detergent packs? Only 1 roll of paper towels? Also what's not clear in the posting is to check in you have to go by a rental office between the 4pm check-in and 5pm office closing (you can check in early for $50 per hour). If you manage to hit that window you'll likely have to wait in line to have your ID copied and sign paperwork. If you miss that window you have to call ahead to get the key left for you (not sure how the paper work gets handled). Then on the way out it's the reverse. Most places we've stayed of late have either a key box or key code at the property. Again though it seems to be more about what's convenient for the owner and realty agency than the guest.

Girls’ Weekend

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The bedroom options were perfect for our foursome. The home was roomy enough to enjoy our time together. Some problems existed with the electric in the home, giving us trouble charging phones and using kitchen appliances. The bathrooms and bedrooms were not clean. Sheets and towels were supplied and left for us in plastic casing, so you know they were fresh—but it would have been nice to have a blanket in addition to the comforters. And we had to make the beds at the beginning and strip them in the end.
