Equally convenient access to popular tourist destinations such as:
Downtown San Antonio 20 minutes
BMT Graduations at Lackland Air Force Base 15 minutes
Sea World 15 minutes
Six Flags Fiesta Texas 25 minutes
National Shooting Complex 15 minutes

large closet, chest of drawers, desk and recliner chair. Guest Loft has 1 Queen Size and one twin bed ( new mattresses) w chest of drawers.
Huge Kitchen with all appliance, dishes, silverware and pots and pans. Propane Grill on front porch.
Living Room has 2 leather sofas w 4 recliner chairs and one individual recliner with 60" TV (Direct TV) coffee table and lamp stands built in book shelves and massive rock fireplace.

Peaceful

Peaceful place in the country. Very clean and comfortable. If you need WiFi- this isn’t the place for you. There is a gate that you have to get out to open and close each time, an electric key pad and automatic gate would be nice, especially when it’s raining. We went to a local winery called Medina River Winery. Did the tasting with the owner, sunsets there were breathtaking. The local bakery and meat market are a must! Blu Lacey BBQ was out of this world! Great town for a day or two, San Antonio was just 30 minutes away and worth going into for the day. Overall the house was perfect. We walked the property and got to see all the beauty nature has to offer. Didn’t see any cows or donkeys but did have two cats they were very friendly come to visit us each evening. If we are ever in the area we will definitely come back to stay here. The host John was available if needed.

Cattle Country 120 acre Ranch

We absolutely had a blast feeding the black angus cows and Baby Girl, the donkey. We bought cattle treats from Tractor Supply locally and cold long stem carrots from the local Walmart. Our family also raised cows, so we were familiar with them and hand fed a few. The cows came every morning around 9 am and by day four, they were gathered “mooing”for us to come outside. (smart cows). The big bull would hang back and observed. Castroville is a small town gem. We recommend Blu Lacy Smokehouse for the best bbq and sides and don’t forget your bucket of beers from the bar. The local Mexican restaurant was fantastic too, El Portal de Jalisco. The Red Rooster which is a drive thru party store where you can also get frozen daiquiris and margaritas (heavy on the liquor-beware😳) There is a Dairy Queen, McDonald’s and a Pizza place, also a Dollar Tree plus everything you would want in San Antonio. We visited in April, low 70’s, and enjoyed The Fiesta in San Antonio. We visited The Alamo twice and recommend the city parking for $10, closer lots were $25-30 for parking. So much to see and do, but the quietness of the Ranch was the downtime that we needed at the end of a busy day. The narrated boat ride in downtown San Antonio was a lot of fun and neat to see the city from a different viewpoint. The gate lock can be difficult to see at night. I would recommend having a bright light available. We visited family and enjoyed our stay, Travelers from Michigan

Short visit

Peaceful surroundings. I was visiting someone in the area so i was only around in the evenings. Suited all my needs.

My name is John V. Garza and my wife is Debra A. Garza, we raised 5 children in San Antonio and have 3 grand children. We are native South Texas residents. I am in new home sales with Terrata Homes just a few minutes away from this home. I am a former legislator, pastor and now rancher.

We purchased this farm ranch property as a investment and also to learn the ranch farm business and we hope to have something to pass on to our children and grand children. This is a working ranch that has combined hay farming and cattle raising for revenue while maintaining 70 acres of natural preserve and wildlife sanctuary for hill country deer, dove, wild turkey and feral hog.
