This spacious four bedroom, two bathroom log cabin has all the modern amenities. Every room offers gorgeous views of the mountains. The cabin sits near the top of the mountain on 3 acres of national forest. There is a stream running along the bottom of the mountain.

Relax in the Hot Tub while enjoying the brilliance of a starlit sky.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, including all appliances, utensils, pots, dishes, etc. Washer and dryer too. All linens are provided.

Stay for an outdoor adventure or a relaxing vacation. Grill out on the deck or jump in the hot tub to stay warm. The area offers many outdoor activities including hiking, white-water rafting, four wheeling, snow shoeing, skiing, etc.

St. Mary's Glacier sits at the end of Fall River Road - 6 miles from the home. There is snow year-round at the glacier and a gorgeous waterfall.

Amazing stay!

Thank you to the hosts who opened their home to us! I simply can't say enough good things about this incredible property. Outstanding location, breath taking views, and above all relaxing. Caught myself and my boys saying "it's time to head back home" after a day of enjoying the slopes. The owners have thought of everything and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Idaho Springs.

The Perfect White Christmas!

Steve and Leslie were perfect hosts and their cabin in the mountains was the most idyllic getaway for our family over the holidays! You'll definitely want a FWD/AWD vehicle for navigating the drive up to the cabin, but it is very doable if a bit unnerving the first time you travel up the drive, especially in the snow. Idaho Springs offers great dining and shopping, and the surrounding area has so much to offer in terms of outdoor adventures! We had the best time there and will definitely visit again!

Best Stay

Hosts were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Loved all of the recommendations that they made as far as activities & restaurants. We really enjoyed having a remote cabin in the woods vs staying in town anywhere. The road up was a little hairy for us in our van the first time but we got used to it. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful Cabin

We had a very relaxing stay in this beautiful cabin. Was exactly as described. The most well stocked kitchen we have ever rented. We loved the patio and the hundreds of hummingbirds were a delightful addition.

Beautiful cabin, amazing setting, great hosts

We had a wonderful experience staying at this cabin. The location was just what we were looking for, the house was clean and well stocked, and the hosts were very gracious with great communication. Our family had a wonderful vacation and we would definitely stay here again.

Hummingbird Heaven

My family and I had a great stay at this beautiful mountain location. Sitting on the deck just watching the numerous hummingbirds was one of our favorite things to do! The views are great and the property is very private. We enjoyed playing ping pong and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking at the house when we didn’t feel like going out. We found plenty to do in Idaho Springs and the surrounding areas. We would definitely recommend this property!

Peaceful & incredible views

House was amazing - we had two kids ages 3 & 5 and there were lots of fun toys and books to keep them busy. Hot tub was so nice, great views out every single window. We had coffee on the deck with the hummingbirds twice a day. Do not take the driveway warning lightly - we had a 4wd full size pick up truck and it was difficult to navigate the switchbacks. We got used to it after a few trips though. The location and views are worth it! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Steve & Leslie were very easy to communicate with.

Idaho Springs cabin

Very well stocked cabin with beautiful views. Felt secluded but only 10 minute drive to Idaho Springs for groceries, dining, and shopping. Hot tub under the stars after a day of hiking was fabulous! Owners were super kind and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing Treehouse

This property is truly unique and special! Our family enjoyed the views, trails, hot tub, and the dozens of hummingbirds on the deck. The hosts are very thoughtful and highly responsive to any needs or requests. 5 Star Recommended.

Amazing Getaway!!!

This property was absolutely incredible!!! Location, views, seclusion! Only a short drive to Idaho Springs to grab any essentials. However- this beautiful home was stocked with EVERYTHING you could ever need!!! Each morning and evening was spent surrounded by dozens of hummingbirds on the deck! The owner Steven was a pleasure to work with. One of the best VRBO we have ever stayed in! Thank You!!!

Beautiful home, awesome views!

This home was a perfect getaway. We had a group of seven. 4 adults and three 17year olds. Plenty of room for us all. The views were beautiful. The home had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking. We enjoy the ping pong table also. We especially spent a lot of time on the deck, perfect for meals and early morning coffee and just hanging out.

love the location!

the remote location was perfect for us. humble suggestion is to rent 4x4. i went back to den and exchanged our car. More comfortable and plenty of off road trails. owner recommendations for outdoor activities are spot-on. especially st. mary's glacier. we did all he suggested and were not disappointed. went back twice. the home was fully stocked; i mean with everything. lol. and that was awesome. living room, balcony - where we spent most of our time (hummingbirds were so cool) was comfortable and well appointed. the nephews room(s) were nice however the bed - which extended into a closet was unexpected. bathrooms are nice but a little compact. as well they felt (19/17 years old nephews) the 2nd bathroom could have used a more thorough scrubbing. i concur. overall great experience. the owner was nice and sent us bear pictures.

Relaxation Honeymoon

Our stay at this beautiful cabin was amazing. We wanted complete relaxation after our wedding and this place delivered. Hosts are sweet and readily available to answer any questions. We plan to be back on our 1 year anniversary.!

Beautiful serene cabin

Hosts were always prompt with responses and gave plenty of local suggestions. Cabin was well equipped with anything needed. So serene, nice location! The driveway was actually fun and 4wd was not needed although I had. The buffalo restaurant was amazing! 20 minutes from loveland ski area 10/10 recommend! Can't wait to come back! Thank you a million!

Relaxing family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay in Idaho Springs. The house was just what we were looking for. It had everything we needed and then some. Very comfortable and very responsive hosts. Just make sure you have 4 wheel drive for that driveway!

A true mountain cabin

We had the pleasure staying for 5 days at this cabin, the interior is charming and has a true feel of a cabin with a lot of family history and art trough the entire place, we were 2 adults and kids 7 & 4 year old and our friends with a 4 year old and a new born did stay for our winter vacation. Kids loved the place, we as well enjoyed everything like the scenery of the deck at night next to the fire pit, the hut tub at night under the sky full of stars and the sounds of the wind going true the trees. You need a 4x4 to get to the cabin, this was verified :), the steep road going up the hill to get to the cabin makes the stay even more spectacular and special. Thank you very much to the Host also by having a 4x4 vehicle at the bottom of the hill available to get to the cabin, this was very nice of him to make sure that you get there no matter what happens…and we did plan everything and made sure but it still happened…....our friend’s flight got canceled last minute and they had to fly trough a different state to get to Denver, they had the car reservation on their name, so I had to take a Uber and get there versus waiting 7 hours for them at the airport, so the available vehicle at the bottom of the road did help us to get to the cabin until our friends got 7 hours later in a 4x4 vehicle. We highly recommend to stay at this place. With respect Dmitri

Adventures and R&R in Idaho Springs

Beautiful views. Hot tub is relaxing. Plenty to do in local area - Go to Argo Mine. At Mary hike was scenic at the top. Cute little downtown nearby. We also made the trek to breckenridge and Glenwood springs and enjoyed it all. The cabin is rock solid and owners are attentive. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Excellent Cabin & Very Accommodating!

My family of 6 (plus a daughter's friend) really enjoyed this cabin outside of Idaho Springs. It is close enough to town to run to the store but far enough away to be secluded with no other humans in sight. The view from the property is second to none, and everything at the home was tidy and in order. We spent the Thanksgiving holiday here and there were tons of supplies and the right cookware that we cooked a really nice meal and weren't without anything we needed. Great hosts, wonderful place, truly enjoyed everything about the trip.

When we were choosing a property, we wanted to live halfway between Lakewood and the ski slopes. This home was easily accessible from the highway and remote enough to provide the rest and relaxation we wanted.

The home is remote but within a few minutes of I-70. It is located in Arapahoe National Forest, so there are no neighbors nearby. The views are better than any we had ever seen. The town of Idaho Springs is 6 miles away and has a grocery store, bars, restaurants, parks, and a gold mine that is now open for tours. There is also a glacier approximately 6 miles away, where you can enjoy hiking, sledding, and snow shoeing.
