Relaxing lakeside living awaits you at this lovely, 1-bedroom cottage located on Lake Norman in Mooresville. This cozy, 1,200 sq/ft private home features a desirable, flat lot with mature trees, dedicated guest parking and is perfect for a restful get away. There is a boardwalk to the lake, where you can conveniently dock your boat! (please inquire with owner prior to arrival). Have your morning beverage on your own deck, on the dock or on the patio. There is a fire pit with seating and plenty of wood. The inviting bedroom has a comfortable king size bed with cotton linen. There is a tv and glistening water view. There are 2 bathrooms, the main one with soaking tub, double sinks and separate shower and the second one with a glass panel shower and single vanity. The open floor plan includes fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, granite counters and a coffee bar. There is also a gas fireplace, smart tv and living area. Enjoy dining either at the kitchen island, high top table or at your outside table. There is a Weber grill for your own use. There is also a lovely entry room with a writing desk and comfortable seating.
*Walkway off the patio to the outside shower and changing room, complete with shampoo and soap dispenser.

10/10 This location was outstanding and the host was amazing in making our stay for anniversary weekend everything was perfect. The level of detail provided by the host was one of our best VRBO experiences. We will return and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a great couple retreat to relax and revive!!! Beautiful, cozy, and inviting get away with just the right amount of activity and the right amount of relaxation. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Host was extremely helpful and cottage was clean and beautiful. Would absolutely recommend!!!

This cottage was perfect for a couples getaway! Despite the poor weather when we visited, it was peaceful and relaxing, especially when we could get outside and sit on the deck or the dock. Our host was extremely hospitable, even showing us around when we arrived and leaving us homemade cookies and granola.We will definitely choose this cottage again!

House was great and just as described. Lorraine was very accommodating and helpful at check in and very thoughtful with some wonderful snacks! Sitting on the porch drinking coffee watching the sun rise over the lake was nothing less of spectacular! We will definitely return!

Lorraine was an absolutely wonderful host, and the cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. The home was impeccably clean, beautifully appointed, exceptionally comfortable, and clearly cared for with tremendous thought and attention to every detail.What made our stay particularly special, however, was Lorraine’s genuine kindness and thoughtfulness. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed and cared for. This lake house exceeded our expectations! The photos looked great, but the cottage was even more beautiful in person. It was well-appointed, comfortable, and full of charm. The views of the lake were stunning and the perfect backdrop for a relaxing, tranquil weekend.Lorraine and Jim were exceptional hosts. They were hospitable, accommodating, friendly, and professional throughout. We loved the special touches, like fresh-baked cookies and homemade granola waiting for us. Everything we needed was right there at the property, making for an easy, relaxing getaway.I highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

The property was easy to find and even had a guest parking spot. We were met by our host Lorraine who made sure we were able to get into the cottage and then went over a few extra details. The cottage met all the expectations as advertised on VRBO. It was perfect! Private, comfortable, clean and stocked with everything you would need during your stay. The lake view did not disappoint. Sitting on the private back deck for either a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the evening while watching the sunset, so relaxing! We found the cottage to be convenient to most of what Mooresville has to offer. We enjoyed watching the go-cart races at the Motorplex, a wine tasting at Daveste' Vineyards and exploring downtown Mooresville. We also brought a fishing pole for fishing off of the dock which was fun! Our stay was everything we needed it to be and more, hoping to visit again! Thank you L&J

Everything about the house, the grounds, the dock, the view, and the hosts exceeded our expectations. Everything was immaculate. The interior design and decor was stunning. Everything we needed was there, and more. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with items we never would have expected. The details were amazing and made us feel like we were staying with family. We highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a lakefront rental and expects a lot for their money. We love, love, loved our hosts! Jim and Lorraine are wonderful people. We arrived during a severe storm and there was a widespread power outage. They helped us with our luggage and brought us candles, flashlights, and umbrellas. To make up for the short power outage, we assume, they took us out for a sunset cruise on their boat, and they offered to let us stay awhile after checkout time. They went out of their way to make our stay extraordinary. We had a fantastic time! We'll be going back.

Oh my goodness, we were so fortunate to have had such wonderful guests! After flights being cancelled because of extreme storms, some travelers may have aborted their plans, but not you! Not only did you decide to keep your reservation, you packed up the car and hit the road! After traveling hours to get here in the nighttime, there was darkness everywhere. You were such good sports!! Thank you for being gracious at our efforts to greet you cheerfully in less than desirable circumstances. We were so relieved you made it safely and were so happy that the weather turned around and power resumed sooner than expected! We were glad you found your accommodations to your liking and appreciate your positive feedback! While we absolutely respect the privacy of each guest who has chosen to spend time at The Cottage, it’s an unexpected bonus for us if we get to chat some while you’re here. Originally from the Finger Lakes region of Rochester, in central/western New York, we came here to be closer to family. We found this quaint cottage to start our new lake living lifestyle and leave the snow behind. Over the past 10 years, we renovated the cottage, and built a two story garage, which is where we currently reside. We now share our single story cottage and its beautiful setting with travelers looking for a peaceful, comfortable place to relax and just “escape”!

We chose this neighborhood quite by chance. Living in an apartment in Charlotte for a year was long enough, so we drove to Mooresville to find a small home just for us two and discovered this little cottage nestled back in woods, on the lake and on a dead end winding road. It needed a renovation but that was ok by us! As the realtor said, you’re buying the property, the rest will follow…And it surely has!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

There’s something about an established older neighborhood on a winding, tree-lined street, along the water’s edge that felt immediately like a breath of fresh air. Once you get here, it feels off the beaten path, but it is conveniently located to a wide variety of shopping, activities, restaurants and bars. The property is bordered on one side by the neighbor’s rock wall which provides great privacy, which was very appealing to us. It’s generally quiet here and the road is a three to four mile round trip walk. Neighbors are friendly, but we all tend to like our privacy as well. At just shy of an acre, our place feels roomy enough to do what we want, but manageable enough to enjoy what we have. Friends and family who have stayed with us don’t want to leave because it just feels like home. If you come here over July 4th, the fireworks show from the dock is awesome.
