The retro vibe was so fun! We were in town for a wedding at a local venue and it was very convenient to that and also just a short drive to beautiful beaches. Martha was great at communicating and great at hospitality. Very family friendly and dog friendly with more than enough room for everyone to spread out. The sunroom is a great place to watch some Saturday football with reclining seating and 2 large TVs to watch multiple games. Everyone loved the place from my 13 year old to my 74 year old mom and all of us in between! Thanks Martha for sharing your beautiful place with us!

We loved the house. Cute 50s esthetic. The beds were super comfy! Plenty of space for our 7 guests and family.who visited. Gorgeous views of the river. We visit again!

We had an amazing stay. Home is very spacious and we loved the fact it did not have a ton of low lying Knick knacks as we had a 1 year old and almost 3 year old with us. And we were not on top of each other. It is out in nature so if you can’t handle flying insects and the random animals that come with it. I suggest somewhere else for you. We absolutely loved it as we are used to all of that.

Oh my gosh – the owner has done such a great job with this place. I had a family gathering there and everyone loved the look in the feel of the place. There is so much to do locally and just hanging out at the house.The pet accommodation is perfect.Really cute place to take the family for a special occasion or just for a weekend away – we will definitely be back.

Everything was awesome! We loved the retro kitchen and the bar area. Main bathroom had a small issue with the knobs in the shower, but we made it work. Master bath was wonderful. We will definitely stay again if we are back in the area. Thanks for everything!

The home itself was lovely. The amenities in the house for 7 people lacked. There were not enough dishes to eat in. The master bed along with 2 other beds was very uncomfortable. The windows were not able to be locked. Like I said the house itself was great but we also found old food and a dirty water jug in the fridge. I don't mean to complain, next time I will be clearer about we expect too. Thank you for hosting us

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!The house was clean and roomy with a great setup for bringing the family dog; a fenced in area with a shed made into a 'doghouse'.We all LOVED taking the kayaks and canoe out on the Black Water river right behind the house!We give this place 5 stars, for sure!

This was the perfect spot for all of our extended family to stay comfortably. The house is so charming, the location serene, and our host was so accommodating! We enjoyed our stay tremendously and would love to stay again someday.

Awesome property! The host was awesome as well. The life jackets for the kayaks were missing and as soon as she was made aware she made sure we had some. We enjoyed our time at the Retro River House!

the home was very cool/retro. We visited in February. Was a bit chilly when we arrived. The sunroom in this home is awesome, so we spent a lot of time out there. host was very nice and attentive.

Pretty cool river house. Were coming back in the summer so we can use the fire pit, kayaks and outdoor picnic tables.

Although we did not have a pet with us, it was impressive to see that these owners do think of pets as well as they do of the tenants! The shed if needed had a dog run along with a doggie door and air conditioning! The main house was very comfortable, clean and well supplied as well. Comfortable beds, pillows and amenities. The vintage decor was very impressive, the sun room was very comfortable as well.

The house was awesome as well as the host! Our stay in Milton was to attend my mothers funeral. The property was roomy which allowed us to host family members who attended. It was a short distance to everything. This property was perfect for our needs along with a beautiful view of the Blackwater river.

Amazing! So much room, everything we needed and it felt like home! It was a wonderful way to spend our annual Florida Thanksgiving. The river was great the boys enjoyed being outside on the kayaks and canoe fishing all day. Our dog had plenty of room to run and play he was in heaven. Plenty of room for his kennel at night and when inside. We loved the sunroom the tv in there was huge and seating for everyone. We can't wait to go back! The host was so nice and helpful as well.

Our group absolutely loved our weekend at the Retro River House! The home is decorated so thoughtfully, and the retro-style kitchen—one of the main reasons we booked—was even better than pictured. There’s plenty of space to spread out or gather together, which worked perfectly for our group. We cooked all of our meals at the house and took a fun day trip to a local farm to pick strawberries.The outdoor area was a highlight for everyone. The kayaks and rope swing were a huge hit, and we really appreciated having plenty of life jackets available.The host went above and beyond—when one of the A/C unit remotes needed batteries, they were delivered quickly, which we truly appreciated.Since we used the kitchen for all our cooking, we were glad to have all of utensils, pots, and pans. One small suggestion would be to add more dinner plates and a couple more or larger cookie sheets. We loved using the retro oven but had to cook in batches.Overall, an amazing stay, thank you for openingyour home!

This was a GREAT vacation home! It had everything we needed, and more. The river view was awesome! There was plenty of space for a large family to spread out and do their own thing, as well as a spacious gathering area for meals. The hostess was quick to respond to questions. I couldn't ask for a better vacation rental! We will return!
