Denise, we understand how disappointing this stay must have been, especially after you specifically asked about the renovations before your arrival and were told that the work would primarily involve exterior and common areas with some daytime noise. Once you arrived, it became clear that the construction was significantly more extensive than what had been communicated to you, and the pool and hot tub were unavailable. While we were able to provide access to the neighboring property’s amenities, we understand that this was not an equivalent experience to having the amenities at the property you booked. We also recognize that the communication around your request for compensation was not handled as promptly as it should have been. We ultimately issued a 25% refund of the accommodation fare and taxes in recognition of the disruption you experienced during your stay. We sincerely regret that the conditions at the property did not match what had been communicated before your arrival and that the construction, pool closure, and other disruptions affected your vacation. We appreciate you bringing this experience to our attention.
