Unwind in San Luis Obispo at this delightful ranch house! Our modern farm style ranch house is set within a 10 acre working horse ranch. A newly renovated, 2 bedroom / 1 bath home features vaulted ceilings, hardwood flooring, spacious kitchen, and private fenced-in yard. It has an additional sleeper sofa in the living room. The home sleeps 6 comfortably & we allow well behaved, supervised dogs.

Our get away is a unique vacation rental property because of its convenient location to all the amenities of the city, yet the best of quiet country living.

We are a horse boarding facility. So we are a lively ranch with boarders and their horses coming and going. We also offer training on site in our arenas which you are welcome to view. The Ranch Retreat is exactly that! It is a serene quiet retreat! The hustle and bustle takes place on the other parts of the property.

We loved our stay at the ranch while in town for a wedding. The rental was very clean and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. That our four legged friend was welcome and we got to enjoy being on ranch added to our experience! Would stay again!

Absolutely outstanding property at a great price. Our kids absolutely loved walking by the horses each time we came/went. The space was also super quiet except for the horses’ sound effects, which was a feature in and of itself. We were also super surprised by how clean the space was - for being on a dusty working horse ranch, the place itself was immaculate. AND super close to all things SLO. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved having the horses and cows look at us when we came and went and they were quiet and peaceful to be around. Very quiet and dark place to get a good nights sleep and we will stay here again.

Our hosts were so welcoming - they answered questions quickly, made us feel welcome on the ranch (a big deal for us city folk not used to horses) and were super kind.
These aren’t photos of the home - which is delightful, but the allowed us to walk around and explore the property. Our dogs were also huge fans!!!
This is the view outside the living room window. Gorgeous.

What a great place!! More than we could imagine! Very kind hosts and wonderful property and views! Celebrated an early Christmas with our 95 year old dad and our girls, his granddaughters! Very special weekend. This place was very welcoming and decorated in the Christmas holiday!! We absolutely loved it and look forward to coming back!!

My husband and I stayed at the Coastal Equine Ranch Retreat while we visited our son who is a student at CalPoly and had a wonderful stay. We had our dog with us and loved that the place is dog-friendly. Courtney was really easy to communicate with and responded very promptly. The place is exactly as it is listed and was very clean. The only bummer about our stay was that it was raining, so we couldn't really enjoy the backyard or walk around much to see the horses. Otherwise, everything was great. The location is the best too - super convenient to everything from downtown, Target, campus and great trails to run/hike. We would definitely stay here again!

It was really late when we showed up however the host was kind enough to come and guide us to the space…..it was huge and roomy bright and airy with all new modern appliances. It looked like we may have been the first to stay in the location, it was so clean. BEST PART???!! The beautiful horses on the property, giant and gentle and perfect. They were so well groomed and the areas were so clean, each horse had its own personality. I could’ve just sat there all day talking and watching the beautiful horses. I am so thankful that my family and I were allowed in your home, but allowed to interact with your animal family. Amazing
