Come stay in the heart of historic New Bern, where charm and comfort meet. Our 1900 home is full of character and modern touches, just 3 blocks from the Riverwalk and minutes from downtown restaurants, shops, and waterfront views.

Pet Policy
We are pet friendly, and the yard is fully fenced in. There is a pet fee of $75/stay. Please be sure to select pets for your reservation.
There will be a charge of $150 for any pet that is not on the reservation prior to arrival.
Please pick up after your pet and place a protective barrier on furniture to prevent stains. Thank you!

There is one camera outside on the front porch. The camera captures views of the front door, sidewalk, and part of the side yard.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was clean, well maintained, good location to downtown with easy sidewalk walking, and the owners were so accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful property in New Bern! Perfect place to stay close to historical area and waterfront! Perfect friendly with great enclosed yard and patio. Nice for humans too! Property was pristine, check in a breeze and host very helpful! Couldn’t ask for anything more. Highly recommend!

Perfect location to walk to town! We brought our dog and the fenced yard was nice to have. There’s even a garden in the backyard with tomatoes and herbs. The home was very comfortable and the perfect size for myself, my husband, and our dog. Thanks for a lovely long weekend!

The property was located in down town New Bern, which made getting around town walkable. The outdoor space was nice. The only thing to keep in mind is the bedrooms are upstairs. But there is a sofa bed downstairs. The hostess was very responsive to all of my inquiries. Our stay there was just what we were hoping for.

Perfect pet friendly getaway near the downtown area of New Bern. The house was spotless and absolutely adorable! The host thought of everything. So accommodating and comfortable.

Property was exceptionally clean and well appointed with everything one might need. Lots of charm and character in this older home. The home is conveniently located to everything in the historic district. We would definitely consider staying here again. The host was quick to reply to any correspondence which I certainly appreciated.

We had a great stay in New Bern! This is an older, but very charming house. It’s walking distance to downtown, so it was perfect for us. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The side yard is fenced in and perfect for our fur babies. April was quick to respond with check in/ out info, and to any questions I had. I definitely give this 5 stars and highly recommend!

Great, cozy, comfortable, close to everything. We loved staying here. The space is charming and we had everything we needed. We appreciated having plenty of towels in kitchen and baths, a comfortable bed, the lovely blooming Confederate jasmine, and an easy walk to everything in the historic district. We didn't bring pets but even though the space allows pets, it was super clean. No trace of past furry friends. Check in and out was easy and April was very responsive to questions. We would gladly rent this space again!

The house was great alternative to a hotel because we have 2 miniature dachshunds and we enjoyed being able to be so close to downtown, take them into the yard, not worry about the occassional bark, etc. The house was neat, clean and the process was extremely easy. These old, historic houses are interesting because they are "old", but that adds to the charm. We were very happy with our stay and recommend this property and April to anyone visiting New Bern. It's also right across from the Police Station which might be a comfort to some.

We loved our stay in this neat, beautifully restored house in New Bern. great location and so comfortable! The host clearly wanted to make the stay as easy and nice as possible! We would definitely recommend it!

We enjoyed our stay at this historic property within walking distance to downtown New Bern. The features and historic quirks made the house extra special. It was clean and cozy. While we didn't bring our pet, the home is pet friendly, as advertised. The couch provided an additional firm sleeping option in addition to the 2 upstairs bedrooms; instead of a bed pulling up from the sofa, you folded out additional cushions and slept directly on the sofa. The few downsides were lack of dishwasher and being directly across the street from the police department. But there are plenty of nearby shops and dining options within a 10 to 15 minute walk, and Tryon Palace and the firemen museum are walkable, too. Overall, I would recommend this stay and the host was excellent.

What a treat to spend a weekend in this amazing home. The house was so comfortable and totally walkable to downtown. The yard was great for my pup. I hope to get back when the weather is a bit cooler.

From Tryon Palace and the historic homes, to ghost walks, local restaurants, theaters, Bear Town events, and endless river activities—New Bern offers something for everyone in every season.

We’re excited to share our pet-friendly home with visitors who want to experience the best of New Bern. Located within walking distance to many of the city’s most popular attractions, the home is cozy, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy a true home-away-from-home experience.

Upstairs Areas - Books are available upstairs in the library nook for your enjoyment during your stay. You may notice the unique slope of the floor, a charming characteristic of this century-old home. The beds are arranged to accommodate this feature.
