The Perfect Home Base for a Cooperstown Dreams Park Week
Our family stayed at Hatch's Lodge while our son played in the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to call home for the week. After long, exciting days at the ballpark, coming back to this beautiful lodge overlooking Otsego Lake was exactly what we needed.
The house itself is spacious, immaculate, and thoughtfully laid out. With five bedrooms — each with its own ensuite bath — everyone had privacy and room to spread out, which is no small thing when you're traveling with a full crew for a baseball week. The first-floor king bedroom was a nice touch and the family suites upstairs worked perfectly for the kids.
The real showstopper is the covered porch. We ate nearly every meal out there taking in the lake views, and the foosball and shuffleboard tables kept our daughters entertained between games. The kitchen was large and well-stocked, making it easy to feed a hungry team family without eating out every night.
The shared waterfront across the road was a wonderful bonus — the kids swam and took the kayaks out, and it gave everyone a way to unwind and enjoy the lake on off days. The drive to Dreams Park was quick and easy, and being just minutes from the Baseball Hall of Fame and the Village of Cooperstown made it simple to fit in the full Cooperstown experience.
The property was spotless on arrival, communication was prompt and friendly, and every detail was clearly cared for. If your family is headed to Cooperstown for a tournament — or just a lake getaway — book Hatch's Lodge. We hope to be back!
