Welcome to Steelhead Creek Vineyards! We came to Sonoma County 15 years ago, planted a vineyard and started making wine. We love it here and this is our home. It's a beautiful place and we enjoy sharing this piece of heaven with you. We tend to our sheep and goats. We work in the vineyard, and we love living here. Come stay with us. Your casita is completely private and you will have access to all the grounds and trails, as well as all the wildlife and birds. You will be welcome here. It's beautiful and quiet, and we love the serenity and peacefulness that you will experience while staying here.

Carla's Garden casita is in the vineyard on 258 acres. Enjoy a romantic wine country getaway about an hour north of Golden Gate. Close cities (20-45 minutes) include, Calistoga, St Helena, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Kenwood, and Healdsburg. Wineries and great restaurants close by. Full kitchen offers range/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and outdoor grill. Wildlife can include deer, foxes, turkeys, owls, hawks, California quail. Come enjoy your weekend! Great Stay!

My wife and I stayed here for a short visit to wine country and it was a great stay! We enjoyed being off the beaten path a bit. We were far enough outside the city lights to see the stars. Great stay. If we come back to the area we will be sure to stay again.

California Getaway

Peaceful, quiet, beautiful & relaxing. This is a gem of a place to stay. Thai and Cynthia are great hosts and are very welcoming. Really wish we planned to stay longer.

Great Getaway

We enjoyed getting away to wine country. Carla's Casita is an adorable oasis on a working farm and vineyard in the hills of Santa Rosa. A little off the beaten path but very much worth the drive. Thai was wonderful even there to great us when we arrived late evening.

Beautiful Casita

This hidden gem was such a fantastic find! I would highly recommend this beautiful casita for any couple that just wants a tranquil peaceful vacation. The property hosts are simply wonderful and very attentive and to top it off the wine from there vineyard was absolutely phenomenal..

Loved this place

This is a great stay well off the beaten path. Where else do you find a herd of goats right next to your house? Place is very clean and functional, quiet and secluded, almost on a mountaintop. Entry road is a bit challenging, but we enjoyed that too. Would stay again.

Sunny and quiet getaway with vineyards, goats and oaks!

The casita was a lovely place to get away from city life. Everything about this place is charming, natural and restful. Beautiful property, tons of light and windows. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Spinster Sisters (host recommended) and bbq-ed at the casita one night on the gas grill. We will definitely be back!

Breath taking

We stayed in Carla’s casita and adored it! The property itself is just breath taking. We saw wildlife daily and loved the resident sheep and goats. The house was so nice and perfect for what we needed!

Perfect Getaway

The Casita is situated up in the mountains a couple miles off the main road. It was beautiful and quiet and private. It really made our first trip out to the wine country area unforgettable. We enjoyed every minute. The property was clean and the owners were wonderful. Can’t say enough good things about the place! The estate wine was delicious! Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the area.

Extended Honeymoon

Peaceful silence journ

We had an excellent getaway with our dog. This is a nice casita on an expansive property. The host pointed us to a Safeway and a Nepali restaurant, which were both adequate and convenient. We might return to the placid casita and the serenity it offers.

Wonderful Stay

The casita exceeded our expectations in every way. The property is a couple of miles off of the main road and is a genuine utopia! The setting is serene and absolutely beautiful. It was lovely to look out of the window and see the resident goats and sheep each morning. The casita was spotless and had everything one could need, including lists of restaurants, wineries, and other sites in the area worth a visit. The owners are delightful, and their property is magical!

Privacy and Quiet

We loved the owner's animals as well as the wild animals at the property and road up the mountain. Also, a bird lover's paradise. It seemed as though there was always some type of activity. Very peaceful with wonderful views

Gorgeous Vineyard Stay

My husband and I are so thankful we picked this quaint vineyard for our short getaway. Thai was super helpful from start to finish. The property is vast with lovely views and the Casita was perfect size for the two of us. We were greeted every morning with sweet goats and plenty of other wildlife. The two dogs on the grounds, Beau and Bella, greeted us at the lookout and were the sweetest dogs. My husband and I will hopefully be back! Thank you, Thai for sharing your beautiful home!!!

Sonoma Wine Country getaway

We loved this charming casita tucked away in the hills of a beautiful Santa Rosa vineyard. It’s the perfect escape to peace and quiet, starry nights and gorgeous landscapes. Our host, Thai, was especially welcoming, easily reachable, and greeted us upon arrival. We also enjoyed an amazing bottle of wine and farm fresh eggs from the property. We had absolutely everything we needed for a cozy & comfortable stay! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return one day.

Pastoral and Peaceful

This casita sits on a large, working vineyard, complete with softly bleating farm animals. It is remote, peaceful and the surroundings are breathtaking. Inside is a fully stocked kitchen (with oven, micro, fridge) and bath, separate bedroom and living area, all nicely appointed and reliable. The casita was clean with the heater running when we arrived. The binoculars were a nice touch as there are birds to see in every direction. A complementary bottle of estate cab was so good we ordered 2 more bottles. Thai and Cynthia could not have been more gracious or accommodating. We will be back for more of this special place!

Charming and relaxing

We had an enjoyable peaceful stay once we found the property which was complicated. Following are the only negatives.. They only provided two towels. Also the fan on the stove didn't work well and the smoke alarm was very loud and unnerving and went off twice. We called the property owner for instruction but we never got a response and the alarm eventually went off. It was a lovely spot and we enjoyed ourselves and would like to return one day.

You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I stayed 6 nights in Carla's Casita inside the Steelhead Creek Vineyards, and we were not disappointed. The Casita had everything you needed, was clean, and the bed was nice and comfortable. The views were gorgeous and serene. Thai was amazing. We got caught in a very unexpected snowstorm one night and couldn't make it up the winding hills/trail back to our Casita. Thai, without a heartbeat, came to rescue us when we called him. We ended up abandoning our car on the trail that night. Thai came back the next day to help us retrieve our car. I don't know what we would have done if not for Thai. This will definately be a memorable trip for us and one to talk about for a long time. Thank you Thai and Cindy for your hospitality! We can't wait to visit another one of your properties again.

It really is the best!

This was our second stay at Steelhead Creek Vineyards and it’s just as magical and perfect as we remember. We wanted to share the beauty we experienced on our first stay in the large casita with some friends, so we reserved the Garden Casita this trip while they stayed in the large casita. From the drive up the mountain, to meeting Beau and Bella (the vineyard dogs), Thai delivering fresh eggs for us to enjoy and the mornings spent on the backyard patios with the amazing views, we loved every minute of our time on the property. The garden casita is nestled in a mountainside to provide seclusion and privacy and is well appointed with anything you might need for a comfortable stay. I love a good robe and buttery sheets on a bed and both are provided. Kitchen amenities are well thought out for the small casita and the living space provided a nice area to relax while enjoying the view from the slider door overlooking the mountainside. The location provides easy access to the Napa, Sonoma and Russian River area of the wine country. This is absolutely a little piece of Heaven and one of my most favorite places to stay.
